Description:   
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Front End Engineer to join a development team.  In this capacity, you will write standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build world-class web applications and work directly with designers, product managers, and other engineers to create rich, interactive user experiences.  The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about client-side web technologies; enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment; has a thorough understanding of object-oriented concepts; and stays informed about best practices and emerging web technologies.
 
Responsibilities:
•       Work closely with the product development teams (designers, product/project managers, developers and business sponsors) to develop functional solutions that match business requirements and designs.
•       Utilize JavaScript, CSS and HTML to develop best-in-class interactive experiences that are engaging, production ready and cross-browser/device compatible; leveraging data from restful web-services and other sources.
•       Ensure efficiency of page load speed, page weight, and code simplicity
•       Effectively design pages to maximize search engine readability and search results placement
•       Provide accurate technical estimates for development timeframes
•       Research code design patterns, UI techniques and emerging web/mobile technologies
•       Troubleshoot cross-browser/device compatibility issues
 
EXPERIENCE
•       5+ years of experience in general web application development, with 3+ years with JavaScript, CSS and HTML development
•       Excellent knowledge of jQuery
•       Excellent troubleshooting skills
•       Demonstrated ability to create well documented code and documentation for team members and stakeholders
•       Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop using a high-disciplined and structured approach ensuring long-term maintainability and re-usability
•       Experience collaborating with designers and back-end engineers
•       Experience working in an agile-like environment
•       Solid understanding of web/usability/accessibility standards
•       Experience integrating front-end code with Java or similar platforms
•       Experience working with version control (GIT preferred)

Looking for a Senior Software Engineer for anr in-house web development team to build innovative web products that support revenue growth. We're developing innovative user experiences on a platform leveraging cloud based infrastructure, APIs, social media, web content management platforms, CDNs, video platforms, SoftwareasaService (SAAS) products, and Big Data.
 
The Senior Software Engineer will build & customize functionality of our desktop and mobile sites in Java delivered by our Adobe CQ Content Management System. This role will be a valuable member of an agile product development team contributing ideas & innovation throughout product lifecycle. This team also operates with a DevOps mindset where team members work with one another and share responsibilities regarding our cloud infrastructure, scalability, and automation.
 
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in web development, web application development, and content management systems
 
1+ years' experience with sites & services hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services) or similar PaaS and Linux/Unix (Apache, Felix, memcached, perl/python/shell scripting, etc)
 
Strong experience with Java and Adobe CQ 5.x CMS (Adobe Experience Manager) and experience with Content Distribution Networks (CDNs) such as Akamai
 
Strong experience with database technologies and data modeling related to storing structured and unstructured content (MySQL, Oracle, JSR 170, Apache Jackrabbit)
 
Strong experience working on large scale site builds / redesigns in an agile working environment and working within Service Oriented Architectures (SOA: REST, etc)
 
Solid understanding of full site architecture concerns (HTTP / Cookies, caching, Web Performance, scalability, security, third party integration, etc)
 
Strong knowledge of web application lifecycle, MVC and other design patterns and solid experience with version control (SVN, Mercurial) and experience with JIRA or other ticketing software
 
Understanding of browser compatibility and web/usability/accessibility standards
 
Preferred:
 
Experience with JavaScript - (including DOM, object-oriented JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, events, callbacks) and well demonstrated HTML / CSS (including HTML5 / CSS3)
 
Experience integrating frontend code with Java, PHP, JSP, or related languages
 
Functional knowledge of jQuery and 1+ year in a technical leadership capacity providing guidance, oversight, standards, and reviews to other developers
