Network Administrator - (US-MA-BOSTON)

Description: Installs, configures, maintains and troubleshoots local area and wide area computer networks. Performs analysis of network
needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration, and installation including servers, storage,switches, and routers. Analyzes system faults, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests on network to detect problems. Monitors and maintains network stability and coordinates third-party maintenance. Performs user administration for all operating systems. Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up on issues assigned or
escalated by Technical Support. Administers and maintains networked data backup systems. Works with management to develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures.
Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts. Works with the Security Engineer to prepare and maintain Disaster Recovery Plan documentation.
conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards. Handles off-hours and on-call duties.
Requirements: three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expert level knowledge with the following technologies: Cisco switches and routers, MS Exchange, Cisco VPN, Active Directory, Windows Server, Storage Area Network, Citrix, VMware, Blackberry Enterprise Server, and Sharepoint. Network+, MCP, and MCSE desired. Excellent troubleshooting skills and superb customer service skills required. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
