RATE QUOTED IS A DAY RATE 

Responsible for identifying complex business requirements, evaluating alternative solutions and translating solutions into specifications for the development and/or maintenance of asset management systems. In addition, responsible for developing and executing test plans, creating and maintaining software development project documents and translating end-user computing requirements for use by the Information Technology Department. 

Responsibilities/Duties: 
Under minimal supervision, works with business partners and systems teams to identify new business workflow or change current processes to enhance effectiveness. Produces project documentation including project charter, system requirements, business requirements, project plan, meeting minutes, issues log, testing plans and test scripts. Communicates system changes and processes to appropriate teams, documenting processes as necessary. Communicates discrepancies determined in testing to impacted areas and monitors resolution. Tests system changes accurately to ensure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability. Sets appropriate goals and priorities to meet objectives established by project manager via regular scheduled meetings. Performs tasks as required for the development, implementation and continuing operation of various systems including: Customer Relationship Management system (Onyx), Public Website, intranet and other internal applications. 





Competencies: 
§ Overall knowledge of asset management principles including domestic and international investment process. 
§ Solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies to ensure proposed solutions support the stated strategies. 
§ Advanced written and verbal communication skills to ensure technical and/or non-technical material is understandable to the business representatives. 
§ Conducts meetings or training sessions as necessary 
§ Knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle (SDLC) required including a working knowledge and experience in creation documents associated with each phase required. 
§ Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project applications required. PL SQL and Functional Requirement writing skills (waterfall methodology or UML) strongly preferred. 
§ Knowledge of relational database environments (SQL/Oracle) preferred. Knowledge of Cold Fusion, IIS, ASP concepts/architecture highly preferred. 
§ Experience with web content management systems (e.g. Interwoven Teamsite) preferred. 

Academic Qualifications (minimum requirements): 
Degree in Business, Information Systems or related discipline required.
