As a member of the Investment Accounting team, this position will lead projects aimed at automating manual processes and enhancing reporting and analysis capabilities. Develops and implements new initiatives and assists with process re-engineering projects. Meet with management to ascertain reporting needs/requirements, develop customized reporting using a variety of reporting tools. Will provide guidance and/or training related to new reporting and analysis tools. Provide end-user leadership to IT projects that could cross many organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities:
1. Performs a lead role in Investment Accounting projects and initiatives.
2. Develops reporting processes and tools to aid in the analysis of investment results.
3. Lead cross functional project teams that are working to automate manual work or enhance reporting/analytical capacity of the Investment Accounting Team.
4. Analyze business needs, complex regulatory or accounting guidance to ensure proper reporting of investment results.
5. Ensures the completeness and accuracy of all reports, forms and data provided to internal and external clients/customers.
6. Highlight investment activity that varies from expected results.
7. Keeps informed of changes in regulatory requirements, investment strategies and maintain a comprehensive understanding of complex investment vehicles.
8. Acts as a "technical" expert in the development and design of new/enhanced systems and processes.
9. Under general direction, recommends changes to area(s) of responsibility that would enhance, improve or facilitate job performance, processing or workflow.
10. Prepares complex financial information to provide to internal and external auditors, IRS, state examiners and other regulatory agencies, as assigned.

Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum years combined experience in investments, investment operations and/or accounting, or financial service industries and within a specific product/business area. Experience leading systems/process improvement projects. Comfortable using various report writers.

Acumen for industry practices, procedures and regulatory requirements desirable. GAAP knowledge, practices and procedures, desirable. Insurance and/or business area regulatory requirements also desirable. Familiarity with financial statement preparation.

The IT Audit Specialist leads and handles complex assignments related to the evaluation of system controls throughout the company. This position also provides recommendations for problem resolution to auditing management and the business unit. The ideal candidate will possess a BS or BA degree in Management Information Systems or related business field, and have a minimum of six (6) years auditing experience. Must have operational and systems knowledge and application of audit practices to multiple functional areas. Proven knowledge in business concepts and theory. Must have knowledge of project management and motivational theory.

Experience: Six years of operational auditing experience.

* IT controls experience

Major responsibilities include:

Providing program cost and schedule status and other inputs for business unit reporting
Analyzing variances at the Control Account level
Developing and controlling the Control Account EACs
Identifying program risks for review and evaluation with the change control board
The candidate must possess proven EVMS, communication and teaming skills, and be versed in integrated product development processes.
Additionally, the candidate must be familiar with mechanical and electrical system interfaces and the integration of the applicable product. The candidate requires strong interpersonal, leadership and technical skills.
BSME or equivalent with an advanced degree in engineering and/or business advantageous.
5+ years of related EVMS, project engineering and / or program management experience. EVMS experience management program(s) in excess of 3 Million in annual expenditure is preferred.
