Senior C/C++ Developer.


We are looking for a strong C/C++ developer experienced on the Unix/Linux platform who has worked with the FIX protocol. The candidate should also have some experience with Java. Candidate should be a seasoned developer with some leadership qualities and be capable of managing a small team of developers. The C/C++ knowledge would include low-level C code (sockets, ipc, pthreads, signals, mutexes) as well as high-level C++ design skills (STL, algorithms, data structures, multi-threaded design). This Project management position will act as a Planning & Control Manager. The position is focused on process and workflow management, measuring and tracking key business data, driving process improvement initiatives within the department and assisting in developing a high performance work culture. This position assists management in understanding and facilitating improvement in the organization’s overall performance and results.

Duties and Principal Activities:
Facilitate CSR (Customer Service Request) Queue Management, by working with resource managers and business units in understanding, negotiating, tracking and reporting on priorities, completion dates and closure rates. Involves significant detail review of CSR information and working with systems/spreadsheets
? Manage and ensure the RPT (time tracking) codes are aligned with the work efforts and use as a basis for scorecard metrics
? Identify process improvement initiatives and work in partnership with all impacted functional areas to ensure a successful start-up, execution and completion of process initiatives
? Develop process documentation to implement SDLC policies and practices
? Work with appropriate corporate groups to help align processes with corporate initiatives. ? Work with various teams to improve processes

Analyze and correct anomalies in both vendor provided data as well as customer provided data

Qualifications required:

In depth instrument knowledge in at least one or two areas (e.g. fixed income, equities, derivatives) minimum - but the more breadth of knowledge the better (ideally it would be someone with exotic instrument knowledge)

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person
Prior interaction with IT development staff on development projects is a plus
