*Tax research and analysis for various US and state tax matters impacting both corporate and flow through entities
*Identification of tax planning opportunities for clients

Direct non-exempt team members, across all shifts, toward achieving daily production goals. Track daily performance and provide timely feedback to the team. Actively lead operations processes to ensure all products meet/exceed established quality standards (e.g., cGMPs).
Drive compliance to FDA, ISO and Company requirements. Champion efforts to comply with all safety, quality and operational documentation (e.g. TPM) requirements and practices. Deliver communications to non-exempt team members, across all shifts, so as to ensure the team's achievement of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Talent objectives. Manage the performance of non-exempt team members, to include:
o writing and delivering performance appraisals
o administering disciplinary action when warranted
o providing positive recognition when warranted
o liaising with Human Resources to ensure consistency in administration and compliance with Company policies.
o focusing on the development of high potential employees.

Monitor and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and produce contingency plans for coverage in times of high volume, heavy employee vacation periods, etc. When needed, this will include directing the work of any assigned temporary staff and other associated responsibilities.

Foster relationships with internal customers (CQR, OPS-QA, Finance, HR, IT, DSTB, etc.) to gain perspective and effectiveness when dealing with Operations issues. Production Team leader in OPS-QA will have responsibility for final inspection, receiving inspection, raw material inspection, and batch release functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent leadership experience in lieu of manufacturing experience will be considered.
2+ years of prior direct people management or equivalent supervisory experience is required, preferably within a focused-factory environment.
Demonstrated ability to drive team productivity, while maintaining high levels of quality, employee engagement and morale.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying communication and technical skills.
Knowledge of Lean tools (i.e., Six Sigma, Visual, Value Stream Mgmt) is preferred. Supervisory experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is also preferred. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), presentation, partnership and influence skills.
Must be challenged by a team-based environment which places a high degree of emphasis on accountability for customer service levels, inventory management, cost reduction and quality/GMP compliance.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Software (including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access). Must be able to work with off-shifts, carry a cell phone and to work weekends when necessary.

For Production Team leaders in OPS-QA only, it is highly desirable to have:
o A strong knowledge and application of mechanical inspection equipment such as CMM, comparator, micrometer, caliper, height gauge, etc.
o Proficiency in blueprint reading/interpretation, including a thorough understanding of GD&T.

Fluency in Spanish is helpful

The Manager, Production Systems is a critical senior level manager within the technology team at The Organization. Managing UNIX, Windows, Web server, and Production Database administrators, this individual is responsible for the care and feeding of all aspects in the production environment. This position will build and manage an outstanding, quality infrastructure and operations team able to support a fast growing organization. This role, reporting to the VP, Operations, is expected to be a technical leader in the Infrastructure and Operations team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide strategic planning, guidance and implementation efforts surrounding the security, compliance, performance, scalability and standardization of The Organization’s client-server environment, including:
• Assist the technology leadership team in identifying server/production environment policies to ensure alignment of broader organizational growth plans and sustainability
• Institutionalize system maintenance schedule and reporting for accountability
• Implement defined technology policies and procedures, while recommending enhancements and amendments where appropriate
• Guide the design and implementation of technology projects as it affects the server environment.
• Work closely with the Production Release manager to ensure deployments are planned, staged and approved. Also help establish change control for production systems and applications.
• Work closely with the Security Analyst to research and recommend policies as they relate to security and efficient use of network and server resources
• Work closely with the Systems Architect team to build a solid production infrastructure across multiple platforms and explore the possibility of server virtualization
• Ensure systems are tested and in place for disaster recovery and business continuity expectations
• Implement and manage standardization where possible to maintain a high level of efficiency while minimizing support requirements
• Assist in budgeting process as it relates to area of responsibility
• Able to think strategically (9-12 months or more out) as well as tactically (3-9 months out) and understand how to implement and stage activities over a frame of time that lead to the culmination of a strategic initiative

Provide senior level support and guidance across The Organization’s client-server environment, including:
• Provide daily mentoring and coaching to the Production Systems team (Windows, Unix, Web, DBA)to ensure effective use and deployment of servers, projects and technologies.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and development of servers.
• Work closely with the VP, Application Development to ensure reliability and stability of servers that support our critical applications

Candidate Profile and Experience Prerequisites
• BS/BA strongly preferred with 10+ years of systems administration experience in a production environment, of which at least 5 years have been with management responsibility, preferably in a fast-pasted, high growth organization.
• Experience mentoring system administrators on technology best practices for UNIX as well as Windows.
• Extensive experience in software deployment, scripting, networking as it affects the server layer
• Extensive experience with Backup / Recovery / Storage SAN/NAS
• Extensive Windows Active Directory Infrastructure, MS Exchange, MS SQL, IIS
• Experience with UNIX (Linux), Web servers.
• Experience setting up Disaster Recovery Technologies
