· Bachelor's Degree in the field of information technology, engineering, computer science and/or business administration (Required). MBA (Preferred)
 
· At least 15 years' progressive experience in Information Technology.
 
· Twelve or more years' experience managing the above-named portfolio of infrastructure services across the architecture, engineering and service operations lifecycle. (Required)
 
· Minimum of seven years' experience managing large, global outsourced infrastructure services provider and/or managing service delivery teams for a large, global infrastructure services provider. (Required)
 
· Demonstrated mastery of all portfolio-related technologies and service management/delivery processes. (Required)
 
· Accreditation/Certification in ITIL service management framework. (Required)
 
· Demonstrated ability to develop infrastructure lifecycle management strategies to manage performance, capacity, availability, reliability, new service introduction of infrastructure services.
 
Responsible for the global management of end user computing services  delivered to all clients (end users, business functions and IT partners).
 
Accountable for the full lifecycle of EUC services from design to build to introduction to retirement/refresh with particular focus on operational excellence and service level assurance.
 
Establishes near- and long-term EUC service strategies, performance monitoring plans and improvement frameworks.
 
Manages a global team of professional and mid and senior level managers. Directs services provided by outsourced and, as appropriate, cloud services suppliers with on-site and off-shore resources teams.
 
Provides financial stewardship for all EUC hardware, software, and services. Partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy, Security, IT Systems Infrastructure and Networks to ensure a cohesive, integrated infrastructure environment meets company's business needs.
 
Portfolio of services:
 
Architecture and engineering for all end user computing hardware and software including laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, desktop
IT service desks for office and field personnel
Deskside support services
IT-related collaboration services
Executive support services
Software release management
Will direct an integrated team of EUC architects, engineers and service operations managers to develop, deliver and operate EUC services which meet or exceed established service levels with a focus on operational excellence and continual improvement.
 
Promote business-focused, cost-effective service across EUC service offerings.
 
Working directly with Head of Infrastructure & Service Management, infrastructure peers, IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture establish EUC service strategies to meet current and anticipated application and business requirements.
 
Execute strategies through a well-manage project portfolio. Develop and promote business cases as required.
 
Develop, manage and maintain capital and operating expense budgets for all EUC services including project-related, equipment, support/maintenance and outsourcing costs as well as annual cost savings programs.
 
Provide leadership for equipment and service lifecycle management across all in-scope service tracks including business case development and presentation to senior IT management.

Requirements
•       Degree in Electrical Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a Technology Diploma with relevant industry experience
•       10+ years of experience in embedded software development using object-oriented design principles and modern operating systems such as Linux
•       Experience with the design of real-time and mission critical communication products is required.
•       5+ years of management and supervision of a software development team in a complex multi-location environment
•       5+ years of hands on experience in iterative software development, continuous integration, and test driven development
•       2+ years of experience with networking centric products such as Gateways and Routers. Experience with Cellular wireless, WiFi and GPS is highly desired.
•       A leader with excellent people & collaboration skills is required
•       Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communications skills
•       Above all, strong design skills are required in not only Embedded Software but also a system level understanding that includes the hardware domain and the practical application of communication products to real world problems.
 
 
Work with members of the Engineering and the Product Management teams responsible for ensuring Wireless Embedded Wireless Gateway/Router products are developed on time, meet customer requirements and are of high quality.
 
Responsibilities
•       Successfully lead the embedded software team in architecting & designing both the evolution of existing product lines as well as design their next generation of gateway & router products.
•       Refine existing processes as well as establish new process for the development team.
•       Selection of programming languages and operating systems.
•       Selection of development tool chains.
•       Work with other team members identify, monitor and remove impediments and risks
•       Collect metrics data, report on project progress and any project specific information to partners and internal stakeholders
•       Motivate, coach and mentor members of the development team
•       Foster team communications in a multi-site development environment
•       Chair design review meetings and instill software development practices that lead to stable & mission critical software products
•       Set goals and objectives for direct reports
•       Administer  performance evaluations, plan training and career development of direct reports
•       Assess, coach and develop team competencies
•       Lead on-going embedded software development process improvement
