Position / Title  senior software engineer/developer
Position Description Design and development of complex trading systems used by our Trading Desk. This position is perfect for a “jack of all trades” since it requires knowledge in UNIX/Windows, C/C++/C#/ Java/Perl, GUI, sql/sybase, client/server architecture. The perfect candidate for this position would be a person with a very strong UNIX/Perl/C++/Java background while still being versed in Windows/.NET/C# software development. The candidate should be a senior person with at least 6 years in most or all the domains listed above. S/he should be a team player able to communicate very effectively (verbal and written), and work independently. The job also requires some hands-on debugging/collaboration with our first-level support team. It’s an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in applying their knowledge to build the next generation of Trading Desk tools in a dynamic team of 4-5 developers. The job also requires working very closely to the business side (namely traders) to help them define their needs and act as a liaison for the other developers based in California. It’s an excellent position for someone interested in learning more about equity trading.
