Senior resources that oversee the execution of 1-3 active projects. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on the project according to the plan developed with the IT Management.

Project Documentation: Owns the maintenanace of project documentation including the timesheet tasks, weekly status reports, technical architecture docs, etc..Project management should account for 30%-50% of time depending on the active project(s) and their status (more time is allocated to project manangement at the start of the project).

Technical Design: Owns the design of individual components of the solution.  Also responsible for ensuring that the project is implemented.

Platforms: AS400 l-Series, Windows( can substitute solaris/linux) for  someone  with everything else

Position: Fixed Income Business Analyst

Position Summary:

The Fixed Income Business Analyst (BA) has the primary responsibility to elict, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, including the business or end users. The BA serves as the conduit between the business or customer community and the software development tean through which requirement flow.

A FI BA may be involved at some level throughout the entire system or software development life cycle. Primary responsibilities include developing the requirements baseline during the Requirements and Design phases of the project cycle. Additional deliverable and support may be required during the Implementation and Testing phases.

Write user documentation such as user guides, quick reference guides and release notes.

Write technical documentation such as system administrator guides.

Work closely with business users, developer, and other subject matter experts throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Brokerarage industry experience with Fixed Income Order and Trade Entry applications

Product Knowledge to support Trading, Execution and Clearing Services in some of the following products is required:

The Sustaining Network Engineer/Manager will be responsible for management of a team of professionals while delivering on projects from a management perspective as well as hands on technical expertise.

TITLE: AVP/VP

SALARY: AVP - up to 85k, VP - up to 110k

DESCRIPTION: Credit Review position. Responsible for credit examination of various business units in SMBC's Americas Division, to access credit quality and credit administration of such units. Evaluate the depth and adequacy of the units' credit analysis, adherence with the bank's policies and procedures and report such findings to management of Credit Review and senior management of the bank. On occasion, head examination teams and supervise the review process involving multiple team members. Perform certain portfolio management functions.

EXPERIENCE: Candidate with strong credit analysis skills with a minimum of

3-5 years experience in a major US foreign or regional bank. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as tact and diplomacy in dealing with senior management. Strong computer skills.

SKILLS: Broad credit experience in a variety of industries, lending disciplines and credit structures.

Ability to conduct domestic and foreign travel for approximately 2 week assignments 2-3 times per year. Overtime as needed.

Ideal Candidate: An individual with sufficiently broad US credit analysis experience in such US (and secondarily international) corporate finance areas as leveraged credits (including buy-outs, recapitalizations and hostile take-overs), structured finance, project lending, trade finance, leasing, etc. The broad experience does not have to be in all these areas, but the more the better as we lend in each one of these categories.

Some marketing experience is a plus, but too much in marketing is actually a negative as the candidate would not have an opportunity to perfect credit skills. The same goes for credit administration - monitoring credit lines, processing credit approvals is not too relevant as that is more administrative rather than analytical.

TITLE: Financial Analyst

DESCRIPTION: Credit grading for leveraged loans. Periodical credit review for them. Credit analysis, monitoring, review write-ups, etc. To track the performance of the bank CDO portfolio, to review each transaction periodically, to analyze new transactions, and to help assist in other structured-credit-related activities such as warehousing.

EXPERIENCE: Credit training preferred (NOT required). Leveraged loan market in general.

SKILLS: Word, Excel. From time to time, overtime work is required when the heavy amount of deals come in or credit works

Information: If a candidate does not have any experience in credit whatsoever, most likely we decline the candidate without seeing him/her.

The Budget/Accounting Business Analyst is responsible for financial, budget, or procurement questions, functional requirements definition, design, implementation and maintenance support of the FMS system applications under the direction of the designated Entity Manager as a full-time member of the support team.  This position will work closely with the Project Manager, Functional Design Lead, Comptroller, OMB and key business partners to develop, prioritize and implement product initiatives, production support needs. 

The Primary Responsibilities include:

. Perform analysis of existing business accounting practices that resulted in an analysis that identified gaps to a financial system including such areas as: general ledger, chart of accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, 1099 reporting, budget preparation, budget maintenance.

. Validate test plans/scripts and perform final reviews of test results.

. Support regularly scheduled budget or accounting business events, e.g. annual closes, encumbrance sweeps, financial plan generation. 

. Screen call center/user requests to assist with resolution.

. Working in a functional/technical capacity with a good understanding of business processes, relational databases and table structure

. Collaborating with release teams to provide analysis, design, development and testing guidance and support

. Prioritize and implement production support needs and initiatives and streamline implementation and support of project systems.

. Gathering requirements, designing, building and testing production break/fixes and enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

-    5 years hands-on experience implementing financial management systems for large, complex organizations serving as a senior or lead accounting analyst,

-    Experience with implementing financial management systems in the public sector preferred,

-    Hands-on or education training in balancing and reconciling financial data, accounts receivable, and audit reconciliations.
