Job Title:      Data Warehouse Architect

Description:    hands-on individual to lead the technical team responsible for improving the firm’s proprietary data warehouse, reference data platform and operational platform. The position will be responsible for the redesign of the existing data warehouse, ongoing management of the data warehouse environment, automating, and supporting the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes from various market data vendors. 

The candidate must have full development life cycle experience including assessing the current state, designing a new data warehouse architecture strategy, making the business case for the strategy, creating the project plan, and implementing it. 

The candidate must be a team player, well organized, detail oriented and an excellent communicator, with a strong understanding of equity related market data, company fundamental data, and investment systems. 

A Masters degree in computer science or an advanced degree in another science/engineering field with excellent academic credentials and a minimum of 10 years of data warehouse development experience in the financial services industry using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2008 or higher are required. 

The candidate must have experience leading a high caliber team.

? Experience with WPF Charting controls 
? Strong experience of user interface design and screen real-estate management 
? Strong knowledge of multithreaded programming 
o Object Oriented Design Skills 
? Good understanding of OO design, design patterns and best practices 
o Architecture 
? Experience in systems utilizing 3 tier architecture 
? Experience with systems requiring concurrency. 
? Usage of industry standard middleware and messaging software. 
o Communication 
? Strong written and verbal skills. 
? Ability to articulate GUI design concepts.
