Title Security Administrator, IT
Essential Job Functions
Will be expected to monitor and tune the systems and network hardware to
achieve optimum level of performance. Ensure networks/systems data
integrity and security by evaluating, implementing and managing
appropriate software and hardware solutions. Conduct routine hardware
and software audits of network and security devices for compliance with
established standards, policies, procedures and configuration
guidelines. Maintain and support network/security systems. Install
network cabling and setup workstations/servers. Explore new technologies
as needed. Interact professionally with vendors and IT team. Provide
level two & three support for network and security systems issues. Work
independently on a day-to-day support issues and projects as assigned.
Report project status and day-to-day issues to the supervisor
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related
discipline with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of
related experience with Masters degree. Technical skills in Data
switches, routers, ATM, Voice over IP, SONET, Firewall, VPN, system
hardening, Network Management systems, Cable wiring. Technical support
to include: installation, configuration, maintenance, software
installations, upgrades to operating systems to service level
agreements, monitor, tune, back-ups, routine audits, standardization and
configuration guidelines. Experience with: Network/security hardware and
high availability environments; configuration and implementation of
enterprise network switches, routers and IP phone switches.
