Will lead a small group of developers using Web 2.0/AJAX and creating new applications, replacing existing web applications. Responsible for providing technical architecture and vision, as well as leading a team of 2-4 software developers through an entire development cycle. This role requires a highly seasoned professional who is creative yet possesses disciplined thought.


Required:
· Architect and develop scalable applications in a dynamic environment, using Java, Struts 2 Framework, and the Dojo Javascript library.
· 7+ years experience developing increasingly complex and sophisiticated software, of which 3 years were at the architectural level
· 3+ years as a technical project lead
· 5+ years experience developing in Java
· Experience developing in Linux, Apache, Tomcat or other webservers and JUnit
· Object/relationship modeling experience and software (IBATIS, Hibernate, Torque, etc.)
· Ajax and asynchronous web-application experience.
· Experience with Torque framework is a strong plus
· 4-year degree (or more) in Computer Science, BSEE, or related field
· Excellent Mentoring Skills
· Detail-oriented, organized, good writing and communication skills
· Ability to operate effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Be the go-to person for MS SQL Support and Maintenance. Play a key role in standardizing and enhancing the organization’s database server architecture. Create and maintain robust, reliable, integrated and efficient databases, scripts, and queries in both the development and production environments. Work closely with the technology t4eam, operations and development, and focus on operational DBA responsibilities. Depending upon the project, on average, you can expect that 50% of your time will involve database performance tuning, analysis and layout and 50% will be devoted to database administration.

Competencies:

Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager responsible to lead and manage the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team efforts for all HSR Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Programs. This position is accountable to the CSP Program Manager and has lead responsibility for related CSP proposal efforts associated with CSP contract change proposals.

Specific job responsibilities include:
Development and maintenance of all CSP end-item, design, and procurement specifications and interface control documents required to support CSP programs.
Development and maintenance of the system architecture, including all Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
System analysis efforts to trade/optimize/define CSP plant performance and to functionally allocate performance/design requirements to the system, subsystem, and component levels.
System optimization and definition of the Heliostat Collector System for each CSP plant, based on system-level performance and operating requirements, that functionally integrates with the Molten Salt System.
Software definition and development for plant level optimization and control of the Heliostat Collector System and Molten Salt System.
SEIT support to system design and development efforts for horizontal integration of the Molten Salt Receiver System and Thermal Storage System, including efforts by equipment suppliers aligned to the responsible CSP major subcontract IPT.
Lead integration, conduct, and closeout for all internal technical design and passport reviews.
Develop Molten Salt System operation and maintenance procedures.
Development of Molten Salt System procedures for system checkout and acceptance testing, and to support training of site operators.
Coordination with off-site plant construction efforts for technical issue resolution and change control documentation related to HSR scope of supply.
Lead CSP risk management activities for each project including risk identification, tracking, mitigation, and closeout efforts for each risk.
Configuration and data management efforts required to release/store/deliver CSP product definition documents, deliver customer data requirements, and receive/archive supplier data requirements.
Cost account planning, project scheduling, reporting and issue resolution for above scope of work.
Lead technical definition and change proposal development for contract changes

Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in leading and managing systems engineering and/or development team efforts as an IPT manager, project engineer, lead engineer or equivalent.

The following are position requirements:
SEIT knowledge and direct experience with leading successful systems engineering, integrated analysis, and/or system test teams
Direct experience in relevant solar thermal power systems, molten salt systems, and/or power plant engineering, construction and operation
Demonstrated project management skills are required, including earned value and risk management
Demonstrated excellent customer interfacing and presentation skills
Ability to travel part-time predominately to locations in North America

Knowledge of solar thermal/energy system core competencies and capabilities is preferred. Working experience on a commercial program with contracting environment is desirable.

Procure and deliver Molten Salt Major Subcontract Equipment for on-site construction installation, checkout, and activation.
Develop Molten Salt Major Subcontract Equipment procedures for system checkout and acceptance testing, and to support training of site operators.
Coordination with SEIT and off-site plant construction efforts for installation support, technical issue resolution, and change control documentation related to Molten Salt Major Subcontract Equipment IPT.
Support SEIT configuration and data management efforts for procured Molten Salt Major Subcontract Equipment.
Cost account planning, project scheduling, reporting and issue resolution for above scope of work. Support technical definition and change proposal development for contract changes impacting the Molten Salt Major Subcontract Equipment.
Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in leading and managing major supplier development team efforts as an IPT manager, project engineer, lead engineer or equivalent.
Direct knowledge and experience with leading successful major subcontract hardware development and/or procurement teams is required.
Knowledge and experience in commercial subcontracting with associated performance guarantees, liquidated damages, and product warranties is required.
Subcontract management experience in relevant power/energy systems, molten salt systems, and/or power plant engineering, construction and operation is required.
Demonstrated subcontract project management skills are required, including earned value and risk management.
Working experience leading technical definition and change proposal development is required.
