General Responsibilities:

 

·         Being able to multitask coordinating and obtaining information from a multitude of International and Domestic entities.  Being tenacious and on task keeping detailed information on whom has provided the information that is required and following up with entities which have not.

·        Creating relationships with above mentioned in order to have them respond to many different requests from parent companies

·        Analytical review of both US Domestic and International subsidiary financial statement submissions fielding questions from parent company.  This includes balance sheet roll forward analysis on key balance sheet accounts.

·         Intercompany Analysis on US Domestic and International Intercompany accounts.  Ultimate goal is to provide topside journal entries that they can make in their consolidated financial statements.

·         Ability and desire to become well versed in Cartesis software (new software to the whole company).

·         Educate the subsidiaries on Cartesis reporting (when necessary) and monitor the accuracy and timeliness of their monthly submissions.

·         Collect and organize groups Journal entries and Sox requirements.

·        Periodic special projects.

 

Requirements:

 

·        Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

·        Strong analytical skills.

·        Good knowledge of PC based computer systems – emphasis on Excel

·        Knowledge/experience working with Hyperion Software (our “old system) and Cartesis (our new system) a plus, but not required.

·        Working Knowledge/experience in consolidations, equity method accounting, International reporting and foreign currency exchange (not required, but a plus)

 

Other

 

·        Minimum 1-2  years job experience  -  general ledger/ financial statement preparation and analysis.

Responsibilities:
This position requires person to develop and maintain .NET applications, develop data extracts using technologies like web services, SQL and various frame works. The person needs to work closely with IIS and database administrators.
Develop database code in the form of stored procedures, triggers and user-defined functions
Develop long term database strategy that incorporates enterprise business requirements and future technology directions.
Develop and document database architectural standards based on combination of known best practices, industry standards and professional experience.
Participate in the requirements discovery process with members of both technical and business teams and conduct analysis of and provide recommendations for the business requirements.
Design the next generation schema and SQL to accommodate database production, storage, maintenance, and accessibility.
Provide technical database-related assistance to various development teams
Document data models, data dictionary, database related tools, and all database related procedures.
Work with the customer support team to provide third level post implementation support.
Ensure effective version control and database change management practices in the development environment.

Technical Requirements:
8+ years as a SQL Server developer & .NET with hands-on experience designing, developing .NET applications and MS SQL databases objects that support web based software applications.
Strong knowledge of .NET development environment/practices/web services with experience in working on enterprise level applications.
In-depth knowledge of SQL server 2005, T-SQL, DTS, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
Very Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Platform, Management studio, various tools, installation, Performance tuning, Optimization techniques, Security and user management.
Knowledge about SQL Server Integration Services 2005 and ETL processes is desired.
Working knowledge of Java and Eclipse is desirable.
Extensive knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques used in all phases of database design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Data Transformation and Analysis in both normalized and de-normalized data environments from a wide variety of data sources.
Experienced in the practice of design reviews and code reviews as a constructive and necessary aspect of development.

Other Skills:
Must be willing to adopt new agile development strategies and ways of improving software quality and accuracy
Demonstrated problem solving / trouble shooting ability
Strong communication skills
Positive attitude and team oriented
Can work independently (self starter)
Willing to work under pressure and take ownership of problems and resolving them

The Audit Technology group is part of the GTS: Corporate department and is focused on delivering portal-based, integrated solutions to help the Audit business achieve their mission – “to identify, assess and mitigate risk by recommending necessary improvements in the system of internal control and by working with management to effect such changes.”  The Project Lead filling this role will be in the unique position of being exposed to all aspects of the firm from trade processing to financial reporting and compliance.  They will be expected to help drive a strategy of continued improvement and innovative thinking to help Audit identify and mitigate risk across the Firm.

Responsibilities:
The person filling this role will head up the business analysis function for the Audit Technology team.  This includes definition of requirements, scope and structure of application releases, functional analysis, as well as management of the QA function for the team.  Additionally, this person will be responsible for managing and conducting user acceptance testing across Audit and contributing to the development and maintenance of the overall technology roadmap for Audit.  The primary contact within the Audit organization is the Audit MIS team, but interaction with the 5 senior Audit directors and their staff will also be required.

Additional responsibilities:

    • Manage scope and requirements for application releases
    • Working with the Project Manager, develop and maintain the technology roadmap
    • Provide structure and best practice methods for all phases of testing (unit, stress, QA, UAT)
    • Manage UAT plans and results, working with the Audit MIS team to conduct formal sessions
    • Manage a small team (1-2 people) of business analysts and QA resources and be able to evolve the team structure as required
    • Work with development staff in the US and India to resolve functional requirement and testing issues in a timely manner
    • Propose and design new solutions to improve efficiency and process within Audit (e.g., ways to perform automated testing of controls to free up Auditor’s time and give control to the business units for tracking remediation of issues)
    • Identify opportunities to improve the technology, focusing on supporting repeatable business processes and increasing Auditor's efficiency

Requirements:

    • Track record of working with a user base with varied requirements and expectations
    • Ability to assess and set release priorities
    • Experience managing a testing effort, using best practices
    • Working knowledge of in-house workflow products such as Staffware and BusinessWorks
    • Good working knowledge of all phases of the development lifecycle
    • 5-7 years of experience
