Project management and customer interaction.
Managing large scale oracle deployments.
Managing large oracle databases servicing OLTP and DSS applications.
Solid understanding of Oracle internal architecture is a plus.
Performance tuning of database and SQL's.
Design and implementation of enterprise backup and recovery strategies for Databases.
Designing and implementing database replication strategies.
Experience in database software management (patch and version management).
Case management with oracle technical support.
Experience in designing repetitive processes.
Coaching and mentoring.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Oracle Certification in 10G a must.
Knowledge of ODBC/OTL/Perl is a plus.
At least 6 years working with oracle technology.

The DBA team is responsible for tasks such as project management, the development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, and day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, space management, backup and recovery (using Storage Manager), database replication setup and management and ongoing database change review. The team also builds and maintains large-scale and very high transactional DB2 databases across multiple Solaris and AIX platforms.

Qualifications:
- At least 7 years working with DB2 technology
- Managing large scale DB2 deployments in term of DB size and number of servers
- Managing high transactional DB2 databases servicing OLTP and DSS applications
- Solid understanding of DB2 internal architecture
- Performance tuning of DB2 database and SQL's is a must
- Experience with enterprise backup and recovery strategies
- Hands on experience with designing and implementing database replication
strategies
- Project management and customer interaction
- Experience in database software management (patch and version management)
- Case management with DB2 technical support
- Experience in designing repetitive processes
- Coaching and mentoring experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- DB2 Certification in UDB a must
- Knowledge of any database programming language is a plus

The qualified candidate must be able to perform a variety of challenging assignments associated with Red Hat Linux System administration and engineering with high levels of functional independence. The team's responsibilities include provisioning, installing, and upgrading servers, systems policy management, technical assistance on infrastructure-related projects, implementing best practices, and performing third party quality control.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & 5 yrs of progressively responsible experience within the realm of systems administration / engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must function as a member of a team and thrive in a fast paced, interrupt driven systems environment
-Monitor resource usage, making required recommendations and adjustments.
-Participate in on-call production support activities.
-Coordinate activities with Vendors.
-Responsible for contributing to the development of the organizations goals and objectives.
-Recommend improvements to facilitate better management and monitoring of the environment.
-Proactively create procedures to prevent and reduce the severity of outages.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and management of the Linux infrastructure.
-Analyze system performance and knowledge of system parameters for improvement of the utilization of system resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
