Responsibilities to include:

Write functional and procedural documents relating to the treatment of reference data. The audience for these documents consists of developers, project team members, and department colleagues.
Provide technical data specification documents for the Development team.
Create external communications to provide information about the process by which our clients will gain access to the new trading system
Create project plans including implementation strategy for the Product Operations Department.
Participate in project planning meetings as functional Product Operations expert/representative.
Manage and execute the data conversion & maintenance process in support of the mission-critical testing and production rollout phases
Additional assignments/tasks as assigned
Required Experience

Experience Required/Results Expected:

At least 6 years experience as a Business Analyst, in equity or derivatives trading technology for an exchange or a brokerage / financial firm
Significant knowledge of options is strongly preferred
Project experience for a major enterprise-wide project, preferably relating to a trading platform or system implementation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project is preferred.
Data migration/data conversion experience strongly preferred.
Self starter/quick learner as the consultant will be required to learn the current platform as the baseline for the project
Keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Dynamic personality with ability to attain buy-in from key stakeholders as well as multi-task

The Senior Analyst is responsible for managing the production of a variety of daily reports pertaining to these businesses, as well as the integrity of market data. This individual will have a broad knowledge of the business areas/trading desks for which they are responsible (covered area) for managing. To that extent, familiarity with the products traded on those desks is required. For the business areas/trading desks for which the MRM is responsible, (s)he will: Serve as the resident expert of market risk capital related matters including signing off on all market risk based capital submissions, Review and sign off on daily consolidated risk reports including cancel and amend reporting, Manage all consolidated risk report submissions into various risk governance committees inclusive of providing executive summary, Represent Market Risk in  risk meetings related to Economic Capital and stress testing, Advisory function for traders and management on risk, hedging, and market risk related control issues, Complete other related duties as assigned. Support the Company’s Diversity programs. Makes day-to-day independent decisions to resolve day-to-day issues. Expected to make the necessary decisions to carry out own job responsibilities and meet primary goals and objectives. Analyzes and escalates unusual or complex issues to manager.


Basic Qualifications:

Degree in numerate subject preferred
Experience of Microsoft office - VB/VBA, Access, Project preferred
Demonstrate leadership, Proven personnel and project management skills
Product knowledge of products traded by covered areas
Through understanding of pricing and modeling issues and limitation
Ability to challenge traders in regard to their trading strategies
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate risk to management and the business concisely
Excellent attention to detail
Requires someone who understands the business - NOT someone who just issues limit reports, Need to ADD VALUE to the process
The role is based on the trading floor and involves direct contact with traders all day
The successful candidate will be able to work unsupervised without the need for constant direction
Strong knowledge about Risk Management and complex financial products

As a consultant in the Implementation department you will work with middle to back Asset Management System. You will work with the complete Asset Management Cycle, ranging from portfolio management and decision making tools from trading and settlement to back office where manages the position keeping, fund administration and accounting. Initial focus will be on settlement and back office. The middle office functions including performance measurement and attribution, risk management and compliance may also form part of the projects.

Role and Responsibilities

· You will participate in all aspects of implementations.
· Depending on your area of expertise you will be made responsible for one or more streams in the project.
· Perform the role of mentor to less experienced colleagues.
· Contribute to improving and documenting best practices for implementations in North America
· You will normally be assigned 100% to a project which will normally mean that you will be working ‘full time’ at client sites.
· 70-80% Travel Required

Profile

You will have a number of years of experience in one of the following fields :
· Asset Management - Middle or Back Office
· Consulting or Professional Services within the Asset Management sector
· An implementation role for a software vendor specializing in Asset Management software.

You will have an Upper Second Class degree or better from a top tier university, preferably in Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics.

· Strong Project Management skills.

Interest and enthusiasm to use and learn new software packages.

Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following areas would be desirable :

· Performance Measurement and Attribution

· Settlement Cycles in International Markets

· Investment and Fund Accounting

· Compliance

· Fixed Income

· Equity based products
