Must be US Citizens who now have or can obtain a passport. 50% Travel nationwide and international. Major project launching in the United Arab Emirates.

We are looking for a Software Developer with a minimum of 5 years experience. This position will report directly to the Manager of Software Development.

Required Skills:
· Extensive background developing in C#, Windows, with a Visual C++ foundation
Ø MS Visual Studio 2003, 2005 and 2008 required;
Ø MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) and STL (Standard Template Library)
Ø .NET 1.1 and 2.0 a must; (please note we are not looking for ASP.NET people)
Ø WinForms, Visual C++ and MFC are required tools for this position
· Strong backend development skills with SQL, data design and relational concepts; Proven background with SQL Server 2005 a must
· Exhibit expertise with client/server architectures
· Thorough knowledge and implementation of multi-threaded applications.
· In-depth knowledge of IP based sockets (TCP and UDP)
· Must have technical strength with .NET WinForms, WPF and WCF
· Strong in XML concepts and usage
· Extensive understanding and proficient in object-oriented design, data analysis and system architecture
· Excellent Oral and written communication skills


Additional Information: (major pluses)
· .Net Framework 3.5
· GUI Development in C++ or C#

SNMP, network management
DoD/DHS project experience highly desirable

Responsibilities:
• Define, commit to and complete tasks as necessary to implement features.
• Mentors and train junior team members.
• Apply your development skills to complete tasks. Work will include design, documentation, coding, generation of automated unit tests, integration testing and other work that may be necessary to help the team achieve each sprint goal.
• Diagnose and resolve defects in code.
• Willingness to ‘pitch in’ where necessary to help the team achieve its goal. This may require collaboration with others on design, development, testing, documentation and/or production support tasks.

The Manager, Production Systems is a critical senior level manager within the technology team at The Organization. Managing UNIX, Windows, Web server, and Production Database administrators, this individual is responsible for the care and feeding of all aspects in the production environment. This position will build and manage an outstanding, quality infrastructure and operations team able to support a fast growing organization. This role, reporting to the VP, Operations, is expected to be a technical leader in the Infrastructure and Operations team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide strategic planning, guidance and implementation efforts surrounding the security, compliance, performance, scalability and standardization of The Organization’s client-server environment, including:
• Assist the technology leadership team in identifying server/production environment policies to ensure alignment of broader organizational growth plans and sustainability
• Institutionalize system maintenance schedule and reporting for accountability
• Implement defined technology policies and procedures, while recommending enhancements and amendments where appropriate
• Guide the design and implementation of technology projects as it affects the server environment.
• Work closely with the Production Release manager to ensure deployments are planned, staged and approved. Also help establish change control for production systems and applications.
• Work closely with the Security Analyst to research and recommend policies as they relate to security and efficient use of network and server resources
• Work closely with the Systems Architect team to build a solid production infrastructure across multiple platforms and explore the possibility of server virtualization
• Ensure systems are tested and in place for disaster recovery and business continuity expectations
• Able to think strategically (9-12 months or more out) as well as tactically (3-9 months out) and understand how to implement and stage activities over a frame of time that lead to the culmination of a strategic initiative

Provide senior level support and guidance across The Organization’s client-server environment, including:
• Provide daily mentoring and coaching to the Production Systems team (Windows, Unix, Web, DBA)to ensure effective use and deployment of servers, projects and technologies.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and development of servers.
• Work closely with the VP, Application Development to ensure reliability and stability of servers that support our critical applications
• Provide off hours availability, as needed, for response to server and system emergencies and maintenance schedules reflecting minimal impact to our customers
• Provide senior-level hands-on troubleshooting when required for the production environment.

Candidate Profile and Experience Prerequisites

• BS/BA strongly preferred with 10+ years of systems administration experience in a production environment, of which at least 5 years have been with management responsibility, preferably in a fast-pasted, high growth organization.
• Experience mentoring system administrators on technology best practices for UNIX as well as Windows.
• Extensive experience in software deployment, scripting, networking as it affects the server layer
• Extensive experience with Backup / Recovery / Storage SAN/NAS
• Extensive Windows Active Directory Infrastructure, MS Exchange, MS SQL, IIS
• Experience with UNIX (Linux), Web servers.
• Experience setting up Disaster Recovery Technologies
• VM Ware or server virtualization a plus
