The group’s tax professionals help clients develop tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Professionals are comprised of global rewards, benefits, and international assignments practitioners who work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. These services are designed to assist clients with developing the strategies, processes, and technologies that affect their staff and operations on a worldwide scale.
We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join our Global Rewards team. Responsibilities include: collaboration with our clients to develop leading market practices and solutions associated with their global compensation (e.g., deferred compensation, pension), benefits and equity programs from design to implementation. Individual and corporate compliance reviews of global share plan and other employment related benefits, leveraging the firm’s database and other proprietary tools, addressing corporate tax deduction maximization, compensation and equity plan optimization, plan implementation, liaison with and selection of brokers, trustee, and administrators, preparation of employee communications. The incumbent will possess the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution, and implementation of client issues.
They will also be responsible for supervising assignments by Tax Consultants and Senior Consultants, and will provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. They will deliver projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of client engagements and partner with other service lines (e.g., Human Capital, International Assignment Services, Compensation and Benefits etc.) to enhance the client experience. They must have proven, extensive technical expertise and have developed their reputation within this tax profession.
* Seven or more years of domestic and/or international experience in equity-based and general compensation arena, consulting experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of tax technical issues as well as process and administration of equity plans
* Strong knowledge on expatriate tax concepts; expatriate tax return preparation experience a plus
* Working knowledge of individual employment and corporate tax issues as they relate to compensation and benefit arrangements
* Prior experience with merger & acquisition transactions a plus, as in equity plan compliance audit expertise
* Ability to successfully apply technology to meet the needs of clients
* Strong team player, excellent verbal / written communication skills, fast learner, detail oriented
* Ability to manage your own workflow and other team members
* Bachelor's degree in related field required, CPA, MBA, JD or CEP qualification a plus
