The key to the job is Cisco routers/switches, cabling and troubleshooting


Will be expected to monitor and tune the systems and network hardware to achieve optimum level of performance. Ensure networks/systems data integrity and security by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of network and security devices for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. Maintain and support network/security systems. Install network cabling and setup workstations/servers. Explore new technologies as needed. Interact professionally with vendors and IT team. Provide level two & three support for network and security systems issues. Work independently on a day-to-day support issues and projects as assigned. Report project status and day-to-day issues to the supervisor.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related discipline with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of related experience with Masters degree. Knowledge of the followings:Protocols: RIP, RIPv2, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, PIM SM/DM, DVMRP, SNMP, DLSW+, HSRP, VRRP, RMON, IPv6; VoIP, DNS, HTTP, LDAP, DHCP, TDM over IP, SSL, SSH, PKI, IPSEC, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, IDS, IDP, NAT, PAT, 802.1q, 802.1p, 802.1s; Hardware: Cisco routers/switches, Alcatel routers/switches, Marconi ATM switches, Cisco Local Director, Checkpoint, Sunscreen, PIX firewalls, Dell servers/workstations, Sun, Lantronix terminal server, UTP Cables, IP phones, Cisco CCS;LAN/WAN: Wireless Ethernet 802.11b, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, SNA, T3, T1, serial lines;Software: MRTG, Whatsup Gold, Cisco Works, Cisco Secure ACS v2.3, HP Openview, Micromuse, Solarwinds, Sun Solaris OS, Sunscreen, PIX OS, Windows Operating system, Brixton/3270 PU 2.1 Cisco IOS and CATOS, Lantronix OS, Jetdirect, VPN concentrator, VPN client, Cisco Call Manager;Network Analysis: NAI Sniffers, Snoop, TCPdump and Ethereal, NICSUN. Technical skills in Data switches, routers, BigIP, ATM, Avaya Voice over IP, Firewall, VPN, system hardening, Network Management systems, Cable wiring. Technical support to include: installation, configuration, maintenance, software installations, upgrades to operating systems to service level agreements, monitor, tune, back-ups, routine audits, standardization and configuration guidelines. Experience with: Network/security hardware and high availability environments; configuration and implementation of enterprise network switches, routers and IP phone switches.
