Description
Responsible for coordinating new supplier and alternate material qualifications as directed by Global Sourcing & Procurement including but not limited to nutritional ingredients, excipients, APIs, and monomers. Develop and execute project plans to qualify, validate, and implement new sources and materials. Manage supplier/material change control process to ensure fulfillment of quality system requirements (FDA, ISO, country specific, and Bausch & Lomb) as well as adherence to GSP policies and procedures including the Global Supplier Quality Process. Participate on global supply strategy teams as needed. Engage with key stakeholders including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D in the establishment and execution of project plans. Responsible for completing business case evaluations to determine project feasibility and priorities. Attend industry trade shows and conduct supplier visits to support identification of new sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Material Science or related discipline required. MBA desired. Minimum of 5 years experience in leading new supplier and alternate material validations within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business. Experience in business case evaluation required. Must have proven track record of successfully managing projects and a thorough understanding of GMP and ISO requirements. Strong communication skills, ability to multitask with a sense of urgency, and ability to interface with external resources and internal resources at all levels is required.

The Orthobiologics Research Scientist will conduct projects focused on tissue repair and regeneration. This requires attention to detail, time management and co-ordination skills, and close work with other members of the group and department. Data analysis and communication of results to relevant personnel is key.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct in-vitro testing and manage in-vivo testing of innovative repair technologies.
Analysis of results using spreadsheet data calculations.
Analytical techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, cell culture, and micro CT.
Research administration involving set-up, equipment operation, data collection and analysis.
Technical report writing as needed.
Test equipment and laboratory maintenance including test supply management as needed.
Continual evaluation of test methodologies for clinical relevance with refinement as necessary.
Represent Department on project teams as needed.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Computer Room Operator to work in a highly creative, dynamic and innovative team environment. The team works closely with various groups including system (Unix & NT) administration, application development, and network design. Our group designs, implements, and supports procedures on different hardware platforms that make up the Computer environment. Team members are also be involved in special projects such as designing, testing, and implementing processes that the operations staff requires.


Coverage Hours

8:00PM-5:00AM Monday-Friday



Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience as a computer operator
Knowledge of Unix commands
Ability to write and understand Unix scripts
Knowledge of Perl, Python, or tcltk is a plus
Ability to comprehend operator console messages and react accordingly
Good written and verbal communication skills; communicating via e-mail, phone, and in person in a clear and concise manner
Ability to document both completed tasks and all problems encountered on the shift
Ability to work modified shifts and/or overtime as needed or required
Must be detailed-oriented, remain focused on tasks, and follow documented instructions
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment, communicating regularly with team and across teams
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
