Description:   
Responsible for the overall quality of all degrees in the IT College and serve as the spokesperson for the IT College. Will be the public voice of the institution and promotes partnerships and articulates clients' IT degrees to external audiences nationally. Work with external program councils to determine what new degrees to develop and to ensure that existing degrees are kept current and are high quality. The quality and acceptance of degrees is measured by enrollment, retention, graduation, and graduate success (advanced degrees and employer perception). Must possess very strong communications skills, both oral and written and have a strong academic/professional background in IT that commands presence and stature within the IT community. Have a proven track record in product development and external IT affairs.
 
MUST possess a masters degree (with a doctoral degree) preferred in Engineering, IT, computer science, or related field, as well as  5+ years of experience in curriculum development in Information Technology program areas and a minimum 5 years Industry experience.

Description:   
The official title is VP State Partnerships and they are targeting someone who is a former State Higher Education Officer who has multi-institution responsibility.
 
Requirements:
 
Education:  PhD required
Prior business and university experience in a variety of leadership assignments.  Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus for this position, including experience in higher education in a significant strategic, operating role.  
 
7-10 years of experience in these areas:
Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation.  Evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.  
Strategic Vision and Agility
Leadership and Organization – exceptional capacity for managing and leading people remotely, a team builder who has experience in scaling up organizations.  Ability to collaborate with multiple functional leaders across the university to represent state objectives and deliverables/goals.  Ability to connect staff with corporate functions to implement and leverage at local levels while maintaining company-wide branding and messaging.
Action Oriented – able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available.  Not afraid to take charge of a situation, and can overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stand when necessary.
General Management
 
Provide day-to-day leadership presence to chancellors located in Washington,  Texas, Indiana, Missouri and Tennessee, as well as additional ones as new state locations are identified.  Foster a success-oriented, accountable, student-focused culture of service within the university while managing the strategic growth objectives. 
Support and work with the chancellors to represent the University with government entities and officials, business partners and national/local community.   Establish presence in areas where potential new state locations may be desired.

Responsibilities
Will be responsible for a range of activities including collecting and analyzing workforce data, drive talent reporting and analytics, manage annual compensation review, and develop university diversity initiative.
•Design and deliver reports and create standardized dashboard analytics for executive leaders and  business units
•Provide strategic analysis of workforce data to help drive informed decisions internally and across a variety of departments throughout the university
•Examine existing and proposed processes and propose process improvements and enhance efficiencies
•Regularly support HR process improvement projects by delivering metrics to support business case development and change management efforts.
•Work closely with other team members to brainstorm, strategize and complete ad hoc requests creatively, effectively and efficiently
•Monitor, analyze and report on data trends that may impact strategically on existing or future projects/processes
•Partner with outside consultants to manage  and deliver annual compensation review process
•Perform role evaluations by partnering with management to write job descriptions, evaluate positions both internally and externally, and provide appropriate grade determinations
•Work in tandem with Human Resources Director to provide coaching and counseling to employees and leadership
•Assist with implementation and testing of new Human Resources Information System
•Research diversity and inclusion best practices and vet program with management and coordinators
•Develop initiative milestones and report on recommendations
