We are looking for a senior candidate experienced in designing and developing Web-based Java, J2EE applications, with a strong background in Object Oriented and Systems Architecture design. It would suit an experienced lead developer looking for a new challenge, with determination to deliver and grow in the role. The ability to communicate clearly, with developers in the team and with business and project managers, is a must for this role. 

Other Responsibilities: 
· Oversee and participate in full software development life-cycle, with a focus on good design, architecture and quality 
· Be skilled in analyzing business needs and issues 
· Possess a talent for designing intuitive web based user interfaces 
· Participate, contribute to and enhance adoption of the agile development practices currently followed by the team. 
· Coordinate design/mentoring and technical review sessions for the team. 

Skills: 

· Strong proven Java, J2EE development skills 

· Excellent understanding of Object Oriented Design and Java Design Patterns 

· Experience with Web-based front end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, JQuery etc.) 

· Experienced with Java frameworks like Spring, Spring MVC, STRUTS 

· Proficient in SQL and strong knowledge of database design. 

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 

· Deep and broad technology set – scripting (Unix, Perl), web technologies, etc. 



Additional skills that would be a plus: 

· Prior work experience with JavaScript frameworks like Ext-JS, Google Web Toolkit 

· Experience with Sybase ASE or IQ databases 

· Knowledge of FX Markets 

· Experience and Knowledge of the functioning of FX markets is strongly preferred 

Education and Qualifications: 
· B.S. degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent technical discipline. 
· 7+ years experience in Software Engineering role including 2+ years as a lead developer

Financially self-sufficient international Internet startup is in need of a Project Manager to help manage our development process. Strong PM experience in fast-paced environments as well as excellent communication skills and familiarity with offshore stakeholders all essential. This role will be based in our NYC office with our Technology team. It will communicate multiple times a day with marking and customer services stakeholders in our Central London office. The PM will report to the CTO who is based in NYC. Some travel will be required. 

Responsibilities: 

* Manage both complex and simple projects. 
* Maintain ticketing system to create weekly milestones for release 
schedule in line with stakeholder and executive priorities. 
* Coordinate testing and approval of new features with global test 
resources and foreign stakeholders. 
* Work closely with Business Project Manager in London to assure 
development is in line with stakeholder priorities. 
* Develop and maintain thorough and documented project plans for 
large scale projects - i.e., outline project scope with client, 
set resource needs, set project goals, create the project plan, 
and oversee development and delivery. 
* Manage local and foreign stakeholder relationships and 
communication throughout the product development/QA process. 
* Build strong working relationships with executive sponsors and 
stakeholders. 

Essential Skills and Experience: 

* Excellent Project Management and communication skills. 
* Strong knowledge of Internet development in a fast-paced environment. 
* Understanding of standard Internet technology (HTML, JavaScript, 
SQL, PHP/JSP/.NET or simillar). 
* Experience with QA testing. 
* Demonstrated ability to extract requirements from non-technical 
personnel. 
* Experience in leading large scale web-based software projects 
through the entire SDLC – from definition of requirements through 
release and ongoing maintenance. 
* Min. 3-5 yrs experience managing complex projects. 
* Good presentation skills; excellent written and oral communication 
skills. 
* Ability to communicate with business people about business issues

Qualifications:
