Tax Senior Job Description

We are seeking to hire an experienced Tax Senior with a minimum of 3-5 year experience in Corporate Tax. We provide competitive salary, outstanding benefits and a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of Corporate income (Federal and State) and Franchise tax returns.

· Prepare accurate and concise work-papers to be used to prepare the Corporate tax returns.

· Bridge Corporate Tax return data from the general ledger to the In Source tax preparation software.

· Maintaining the deferred tax detailed records.

· Using the FAS depreciation software to maintain federal and state depreciation records.

· Assist with tax notices and interfacing with taxing authorities.

· Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual current and deferred tax provision calculations for inclusion in SEC 10-Q and 10-K reports

Requirements:

· A four year degree or advanced degree in Accounting

· A minimum of three to five years of tax department or public accounting experience or a combination of both.

· At least two years of experience preparing and/or reviewing corporate income tax returns

· CPA or several parts of the exam passed, or working toward an advanced degree in taxation.

The Corporate Finance department is looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for senior accounting and analysis responsibilities including:

  • Responsible for the month-end close process monthly and accounting and analysis of various assigned divisions/departments in NY.
  • Financial policy & procedures
  • Review and maintain Corporate account analyses
  • Responsible for the annual budget and monthly forecast process.
  • Perform budget/forecast to actual analysis and investigate variances.
  • Interact with business segments and department heads as necessary.
  • Act as liaison between Finance and business segments and other corporate departments in New York.
  • Prepare needed support and documentation for financial/operational audits and bank presentations.

Qualifications:

Provides strategic direction and leadership for multiple retail stores and kiosks within assigned area to maintain the Company position as the premier quality provider of convenience communications services
Hires, develops and motivates management staff in assigned area.
Conducts regular visits to store locations to ensure appropriate business operation.
Facilitates goal setting, development and performance evaluation of store/kiosk managers.
Ensures that there are efficient vehicles in retail/kiosk locations for providing high quality sales and consistent service to our customers.
Establishes criteria to ensure efficient, courteous handling of customer sales and service requests including billing/service problem resolution, accessory sales, technical troubleshooting and bill payments.
Effectively manages profit/loss responsibility for stores/kiosks in assigned area.
Ensures that area retail stores/kiosks are staffed appropriately and meet sales performance and profitability criteria.
Resolves customer concerns requiring higher level management attention.
Collaborates with peers to ensure national consistency throughout operations.
Identifies growth opportunities within assigned area utilizing site selection criteria and oversees the store build-out process.
Provides leadership and direction in the transition and/or launch of new markets.
