The High Touch Trading – US Technology group is looking for a Senior Developer to work closely with project mangers, and business analyst, to develop, enhance an internal development and management of frameworks and components to streamline current and future integration efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Participate in projects for interaction with cross platform applications within the bank. Working closely with other technology teams
• Communicate with business analysts and QA teams to identify business requirements and testing scenarios
• Help mentor junior team members and act as senior developer in projects
Qualifications:
• Expert level experience with object oriented languages and design patterns, particularly Java
• Strong focus on code quality, documentation and testing
• Extensive experience developing, maintaining, and deploying enterprise quality frameworks and tools
• Strong experience with 'Agile' style development methods
• Expert with both front-end GUI and back-end development
• Expert knowledge of vendor development products and open source initiatives and tools (e.g. Spring, Tibco, MQ, Eclipse RCP, etc.) 3+ years Fidessa development experience
• Experience working with diverse, geographically distributed teams
• Experience working on Equity Trading Applications
• Understanding of Equity flow and market

A successful equity and options trading firm located in New York, is currently seeking a senior user interface developer experienced in building real time trading systems. The individual will be heavily involved in GUI design and system architecture. Core skills are object-oriented design and experience developing component-based/distributed software systems using C#/WinForms/WPF, C++/MFC and RDMBS on Windows. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in driving the design and architecture of the front end applications in a small team environment where results are directly attributable to the success of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create, design, develop code, test, debug, and provide beta support for windows based front end application.
· Design highly configurable, fresh looking, intuitive user interface components for the next generation of our trading system
· Design and build high-quality components using Agile development methods.
· Investigate repercussions to entire product i.e., implications of changes, design, analysis of changes and accurate estimates of effort.
· Coordinate with other technology leads to ensure a consistent design and compatibility with all interfacing products.
· Participate in recommending new technologies and next generation features.
Skills Required:
· Senior-level developer with at least 5+ years of hands-on programming experience and designing and maintaining front end software applications.
· Strong knowledge of C++ in Windows environment required
· Knowledge of C# and .NET
· Strong knowledge of high performance, real-time, multi threaded development
· Experience with real-time data or systems.
Skills Desired:
· Experience with Low Latency market data or high frequency trading.
· Experience with performance profiling tools
· Knowledge of equity markets and trading systems is highly desired
· Equity and Options experience is highly desired
