Description:   

Establish and develop an IT hub for a large international company.  The position will travel approximately 30% throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

 

Responsibilities:

Analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation

 

Maintaining network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, Laptops, Persona Computers, IPad and IPhones, terminals and wired and wireless connections

 

Evaluating network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations, gathers quotes and presents solutions with budgets to upper management.

 

Checking systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures

 

Establishing budgetary requirements for equipment replacement

 

Establishing and controlling systems access and security

 

Providing support to and training  users in local area network administration and personal computer usage

 

Will directly supervise employees in multiple locations and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE:

Bachelor degree

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with multiple locations

8 or more years IT experience showing progressive growth

Experience with various PC/laptops/servers/iPhone, iPad, Cisco routers switches and access points, laser printers network attached, video conferencing

Experience with virus protections, email (exchange), spam filtering, web filtering, ad, VoIP, file and print services, MS Operating systems, SharePoint, MPLS, and QOS

 

Plusses:

Experience in developing and establishing a help desk environment

Experience in cloud computing networked environments

Experience in international networking

Will be part of a team that provides operational support to the EMC environment. Responsibilities will include; ensuring that storage systems are running smoothly, provisioning storage, troubleshooting access/performance problems, and assessing storage needs from other internal IT groups.  Must have experience in large corporate and distributed global environment.  This is a "hands-on" position requiring current technical skills.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

- 5+ years of experience supporting EMC and storage technologies; must have skills related to Tier 1 and 2 storage technologies from EMC

 

- Advanced knowledge and demonstrable experience working with EMC technologies to include NAS, SAN, Data Domain and various types of fabric switches.

 

- Experience with SRDF technology is highly preferred (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility); single and multi mode fiber connection, data replication, snapshots, BCV Storage switch fabric, open replicator, Open migratory, SAN copy; Setting up SRDF links and scripting.

 

- Experienced in the design and implementation of fiber channel storage area networks

 

- Advanced experience of tiered storage in a corporate and distributed environment

 

- Experience with enterprise class backup infrastructures and various replication technologies.

 

- Upgrade, firmware, and patch management

 

- Infrastructure design and Implementation of EMC VNX and EMC VMAX storage clusters

 

- Storage commissioning and decommissioning

 

- SAN/Storage Engineering

 

-On-Call interaction with Infrastructure teams to resolve issues; escalation of technical issues for communication and engagement; -Production Support with structured change management processes

 

-Performance Tuning

 

-Time based reporting including health, activity, and status; capacity and performance management and reporting

 

-Experience with storage design and tactical implementation of the storage platforms for Database servers, File servers and virtualized server farms is essential.
