Description:   
5-6 month contract
 
Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions.
 
Primary responsibilities:
 
1.      Document Organization and Management:
 
•       Requires familiarity and ease with tools like JIRA (an issue tracking tool typical for software development), Confluence (Wiki), SharePoint, BaseCamp, Apache Subversion, and others
•       Ingest current document types
•       Standardize the formats
•       Recommend/define a central document storage repository (either Confluence (Wiki) or Sharepoint)
•       Implement organizational structure in selected repository tools
•       Develop templates and scripts for selected document management tool that can be applied to future documentation
•       Work with stakeholders to formalize the documentation process moving forward
 
2.      Document Authoring:
 
•       Requires strong writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to work closely with the tech teams and the product teams
•       Aggregate and revise current documentation according to new standards
•       Create new documentation for development processes, user training and user guides, online help files, release notes, internal and external presentations, etc.
•       Edit and standardize material prepared by other authors
•       Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.
•       Write technical direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, and marketing specifications.
•       Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples.
•       Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.
•       Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts.
•       Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
•       Follow a life cycle called document development life cycle.
•       Release the document following final approval.
•       Provide updates and different editions as necessary.
•       Review manufacturer's and trade catalogs.
 
Requirements:
 
•       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•       Relevant work experience: 3–5 years
•       Relevant work experience in tech or tech-related field: 3 years
•       Desired: Experience with media companies

Description:   
Provide an experienced level of team leadership and deep technical knowledge/support on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, systems configuration, design and implementation. 
 
Manage Basis Administrators on the performance, reliability, security and availability of the SAP systems in alignment with industry standards and corporate requirements.  Also will manage external consulting/outsourced resources as necessary to support projects and changing business needs.
 
Responsible for the management of all areas of SAP Basis including, but not limited to:  SAP architecture, performance reporting, upgrades, correction and transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, batch scheduling, Earlywatch and Go-live checks, OSS note research and application, SAP GUI deployment, ticket resolution with the Help Desk, application server load balancing, printer troubleshooting and spool administration, daily system checks and monitoring (CCMS/Solution Manager), disaster recovery testing, and performance tuning.
 
Works with appropriate Infrastructure teams to design, implement, and support all hardware and software systems that SAP is dependent upon and interfaces with (operating systems, hardware systems, DBMS, LAN, storage, etc.).
 
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages activities associated with SAP production control and coordination including planning, scheduling, job setup, standards, etc.
- Manages team on tunable parameters for SAP and OS systems, monitors performance parameters for their effectiveness.
- Evaluates trend analysis to detect long term performance problems and prevent performance degradation.
- Works with others in the company in order to solve technical issues. Establishes and monitors escalation of problems and uses SAP OSS and ticketing software.
- Evaluates EarlyWatch reports and recommends appropriate changes based upon those reports.
- Collaborates with relevant SAP and IT teams for major activities such as software upgrades, support packs/enhancement packs, software configuration changes and hardware upgrades or replacements.
- Plans and schedules the development, introduction, communication and maintenance of the SAP systems architecture including the applications and infrastructure architectures and assures that this architecture is integrated with the application road map and strategies.
- Sets strategy and implements new SAP products and technology related to Basis Administration (e.g., GRC, Redwood CPS, etc.).  Enhances existing products and solutions. 
- Works with Basis Administrators to execute SAP client copies, system copies, imports / exports, and transports as needed.  Coordinate efforts to address typical Basis functions, such as user and authorizations, printer administration, database support and operating system support.
- Directs the disaster recovery processes according to specifications agreed to by the business for key company SAP systems.
- Responsible for the formulation and realization of performance goals as related to SAP systems.
- Participates in internal and SOX audit activities related to SAP and IT systems.    
- Familiarity with a variety of field’s concepts, best-practices and procedures.
- Acts as a primary input for subsequent build activities; sought out as a subject matter expert.
 
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of SAP Basis experience and managing enterprise environments.
- 5+ years of team supervision/management. 
- Must have significant background in SAP ECC 6.0, BI, SCM/APO, Solution Manager and Enterprise Portal.  This should include leadership of technical installations in this area. Must have had primary technical responsibility for major system upgrades.
- Relational database design and client server concepts; specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
