Regional Wealth Planning Manager - (US-NY-New York)

A player/coach role with the technical and client skills of an experienced Senior Wealth Planner , the ability to lead, coach and develop team members and the ability to partner internally and externally to drive planning activity and the overall business. 

Responsible for driving the Wealth Planning model across all client segments in the geographic region. Serves and delivers planning services to the most complex, visible and top revenue generating clients. Serves as an advocate for and understands all planning services across client segments including affluent, HNW, and UHNW. In addition, this position serves as a role model for Planning personnel. 

Partners with Senior leaders across the market to drive additional Private Bank business. Oversees the Wealth Planning team in a geographic region on a day to day basis. Responsible for balancing workflow assignments, managing planning engagements, and coaching. Acts as liaison to Senior Director Planning and team members assisting in day-to-day oversight of planning process as well as human resource issues. Responsible for implementation of best practices and consistency of the planning process. Delivers planning engagements to HNW clients within The Private Bank. Supervises the preparation of analyses and work product, and deliver the work product in partnership with the relationship management team. Works with the RM to document and close business opportunities identified in the planning process. Partners with RD and other regional leaders as well as SDP to drive overall business for TPB. Meets with Centers of Influence to develop and expand client relationships. 

Minimum Qualifications 
10+ years in Financial Planning, Tax or Trust and Estate Planning experience, working with High Net Worth Clients. 

Preferred Skills 

Advanced degree or professional designations pertinent to a Senior Level Financial Planning position: MBA, JD, CTFA, LLM in taxation, CFP preferred. 

Previous direct sales experience. 

Previous leadership/management experience. 

Financial Planning experience within the Northeast region preferred

Responsible for the development of Settlement business line applications 

10+ years of development experience with at least 5 years working on core Java development delivering robust mission critical applications through multiple iterations. The candidate will have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of Java including Threading, Memory management, Collections/Data Structures, JMX, JDBC, XML, JMS. 

A proven track record of delivering modular services into a mission critical enterprise environment, leveraging both synchronous & asynchronous communication along with an understanding of issues related to services running in a clustered environment. 

Good database knowledge including basic pl/sql, simple schema design and data constraints along with experience of ORM libraries such as iBatis and Hibernate. 

The candidate should be a fast learner, passionate about solving business problems through high-quality technical solutions and be someone who has demonstrated flexibility in meeting the needs of a challenging, fast-paced business environment. 

Responsibilities/Duties: 
§ Activities include but are not limited to: contributing to design sessions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, supporting beta testing, bug fixes and documentation. 

§ Develop Frameworks which enable other team members to produce new functionality with minimal coding effort and reduce complexity. 

§ Migrate existing business functionality to a new architecture. 

§ Trouble shoots any system failures and discrepancies. Recovery solutions are evaluated, selected and implemented. 

§ Mentoring & training other team members. 

§ Design and test systems and/or systems changes accurately to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability. 

Specific Technical Knowledge and Experience Required: 
§ 10+ years of delivering enterprise grade Java applications 
§ Experience building modular applications and services 
§ Proven knowledge of different client server communication models including REST and JMS 
§ Fluency with standard design patterns 
§ Strong written and verbal communication skills 
§ Strong object-oriented application design and development skills 
§ Knowledge and experience in Test-Driven Development, SVN, Maven & Continuous Integration 
§ JDBC & Database integration technologies such as iBatis 

Specific Technical Knowledge and Experience Preferred:
