The selected candidate for this position will have primary responsibility for designing, developing, qualifying and evaluating effective moist heat, radiation and ethylene oxide sterilization processes for new and current products of the Division.

This individual will be required to perform lab supervision, equipment requisition, process definition, process qualification, process documentation and process training.

The incumbent must operate in compliance to international, regional and sterilization standards.

Candidate Must Have :
* B.S. degree in Engineering and 9-13 years of experience, or M.S. in Engineering and 5-7 years of related experience
* Working knowledge of the design, development, qualification, and evaluation of moist heat, radiation and ethylene oxide sterilization processes and their international standards, i.e., AAMI..
* Trained in Six Sigma Quality techniques; Black belt preferred
* Demonstrable project work successes in LEAN enterprise techniques
* Work history in sterilization which includes process definition, process qualification, process documentation, and process training

Provide Engineering leadership in support of the Communications Security Products (CSP) business.
Responsible for the successful engineering development, talent acquisition, retention and development of a team of approximately 40 engineers in a dynamic labor market, in a location remote from the division headquarters.
Builds strong working relationships with external customers (including NSA) and internal customers to advance CSP technology and support the growth of the CSP business.
Manages IRAD projects, program developments, budgeting, staff planning and intellectual property protection.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Software or Computer Engineering required. Master’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, or Business Management preferred.
10 years of CSP or related Engineering experience, plus 4 years of engineering or program management leadership required.

Experience:
Strong leadership and management skills with demonstrated track record of building and developing technical talent.
Strong verbal communications skills and the ability to champion change and enhance employee engagement are required as engineering leader in this location.
Position requires broad knowledge of communications technologies, products and customers and strong working knowledge of CSP engineering.
Requires prior success in working relationships with external customers (NSA preferred).
Candidate should have a successful track record of executing projects to meet internal and external expectations and in developing program pursuit proposals.
Candidate should also have strong business acumen, excellent judgment, good strategic and tactical leadership skills, and a high initiative/bias for action.
Candidate must be able to balance technical needs with business objectives.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and hold an active US Top Secret clearance.

Field Application Engineers use consultative selling techniques to effectively promote the value proposition offered by products to the electrical construction industry where approximately $400 Billion is spent annually. Typically targeted construction projects range from $10 to $400 Million. Each assigned territory represents approximately $5 to $25 Million in sales. Targeted segments include, in order of priority: multi-family residential, commercial, institutional and industrial.

Principle Job
• Successfully commercializes projects for each of assigned Manufacturer Representatives.
• Identifies and recommends product/process enhancements that provide significant improvement.
• Identifies and recommends sales tools to enhance product sales.
• Builds effective relationships with key decision makers (e.g. consultants, contractors, inspectors and end users) in order to become a recognized solution provider for products.
• Communicates with people from the apprentice level at job site up to the senior executive level in small groups or in large conference settings.
• Makes presentations that are technically correct while providing the energy and enthusiasm necessary to leave a positive impression with the engineers, contractors and end users.
• Provides technical expertise and support to sales force and customers, by presenting technical training, acting as the technical resource for engineers and contractors, and providing design assistance where needed.
• Keeps abreast of code and standards changes, new tools, and new information concerning products and services.
• Continually supports electrical inspectors on both a national and regional basis.
• Works with different bodies of government to persuade them to remove any restrictions that prevent the use of products.

Job Requirements:
• Engineering or equivalent degree, plus five to ten years of experience in the electrical industry (e.g. project design, installation, management, sales and marketing).
• Seasoned self-starters with ability to manage the sales process and facilitate the commercialization process in his/her territory.
• Tenacity to follow a project through to its completion.
• High level of technical knowledge about products, their applications, and their installations in order to provide proper technical support.
• High level of selling skills to properly promote the value proposition of products to the contractors and the engineering community.
• Computer skills with a full knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Travel: 50% or more

· Knowledge of the use of econometric models is desired but not required.
· The position will require excellent writing and research skills but also have the ability to make presentations of key findings in executive level meetings and public forums.
· This position will oversee the evaluation and procurement of commercial real estate data sources and database systems.
· This position normally requires a master’s degree or advanced certification in a discipline related to the field (MAI designation).

Three to five years experience in a relate field is the minimum amount of work experience.
