Client seeks an experienced senior software quality control change manager to join a team of QA Analyst and software development teams. These teams currently support the creation, the testing and the release of software for many of the business lines that are part of the company. The person that they are seeking will be responsible for being the software change manager for all of these software development groups as well as managing and implementing the release of software to the Quality Assurance testing environment. This person must be able to assess current internal SDLC practices and create and implement an acceptable change management process. This person must be able to perform many of the position requirements listed below.

The candidate should be a self-motivated candidate, who is capable of working in a fast paced challenging environment. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to relay and express ideas in a technical and business forum with lead developers, analysts and product managers. The ability to think out of the box is required.


Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Provide guidance to all software development and QA groups in the management of software releases to both the Quality Assurance and production environments.
Expertise in the compilation of source code and the ability to read source code in order to be able to guide software development in better software development best practices.
Able to articulate issues and opinions to a diverse set of individuals from different disciplines (business, development, management, etc…).
Working very closely with the development and Quality Assurance teams to create an acceptable Software Change Management process and then implement that process firm wide.
Keep on top of the industry best practices for Software Change Management.


Minimum experience includes:
5 years of software change management in a structured technical environment.
Must be able to work independently and with other technical disciplines on projects when required.
1+ years of Domestic Equities experience required.
1+ years of experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS).
Have previously implemented a software change management process at a prior employer.
The ability to create detailed process documentation.
Excellent oral and written technical communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
Acute attention to detail and reliable problem-solving ability.
Desire/ability to work with multiple projects, technologies and teams.
Extensive understanding of SDLC and software change management.

The following skill sets are deemed necessary in the job category:
C++, Perl, .net programming experience.
Any scripting experience.
Ability to work with SQL.

Education: College Degree is required.

While this is technically a 100% hands on position, there is room to grow within the organization and take on more of a leadership role. We are also looking for an individual who would like to work within an organization open to change, and constantly growing.

Excellent understanding of operational processes within a Bank and to be able to discuss optimal business models in areas such as Cash Management, Treasury Confirmations, Trade Process Management etc across multiple financial instrument types. 

A consulting approach to selling. i.e. work with the customer to understand business requirements to ensure solution meets their requirements. 

Reasonable level of technical understanding, to be able to at least confirm the technology footprint the firm provides. 

4. Comfortable around the technology to the level of a professional services Consultant, (be able to load data into our various solutions and tailor it to the users requirements) 

Duties of Pre-Sales personnel 
a) Production of responses to Requests for Information and Requests for Pricing. 
b) Development of Industry specific and technical whitepapers 
c Work with Sales Personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities. 
d) Liaison with Product Managers and Development to understand details of product direction and design and communicate information back to sales organization. 
e) Responsible for staying abreast of product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each of the products and how these are applied to address business and technical problems. This includes interacting with Product Management and Development on an on-going basis to stay current. 
f) Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc. 
g) Attendance at conferences and working with Subject Matter Experts, and research to stay on top of changes in business issues/requirements/regulations/Technology and understand where the market is going. 
h) Responsible for staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors. 
i) Responsible for preparing for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales process. 
j) Responsible for providing feedback from the market to Product Management and Development regarding products including coordinating gaps between product functionality and market/customer demands. 
k) Responsible for working with Product Management to develop and deliver training on business problems, products, and messages (classroom and OJT) for new pre-Sales team members. 
l) Coordinate requirements for proofs of concept with Product Management/Product Development 
m) In conjunction with Sales Personnel, develop and conduct transition briefing - communicate commitments, expectations, customer organization, etc.

This Product Manager will report to the Vice President of Product Development and be responsible to: 
• Work with the VP to establish product definition, strategy, and roadmap 
• Gather and integrate feedback from stakeholders 
• Draft a product definition document and functional requirements to guide development 
• Manage prioritization of issues, enhancements, new features
