Work with an IT Analyst on small projects and activities related to technical IT work such as server migrations, upgrades, security enhancements and metrics gathering. Responsible for completing tasks on time, suggesting improvements and documentation as well as completing day to day duties. These duties include but are not limited to the following:

Maintain Unix Shell scripts, Windows batch scripts and Perl scripts
Maintain Informatica mappings and workflows and work with Informatica security
Assist in the development of standardized environments for applications
Assist in process flow definitions and maintaining job run schedules
Help to define and gather metrics
Automate work as proficiently as possible

3+ years IT experience
1+ year Unix Operating System and Shell scripting experience
1+ year Windows Operating System experience
1+ year ETL tool experience
1+ year with Perl

Assist in design decisions for a 15+ team creating infrastructure for a high frequency trading system, across a wide range of projects
Act as a hands-on developer for specific projects, as assigned; for example, code connections to new markets, optimize the systems’ performance, maintain and expand the databases of financial information, and build risk management and performance tracking tools
Potentially, assume team lead responsibilities for a group of 3-5 people
Requirements:

3-5 years of experience as an architect on a high frequency trading system
Degree in math, engineering, computer science, or a related field from a top college or university (undergraduate or graduate)
Excellent programming skills: solid C++ experience is required, and Java knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of Linux
Basic Linux system administration skills, and knowledge of Perl, shell-scripts, DNS, and NFS, are a plus
Strong background in math, data structures, and algorithms
Brilliant problem-solving skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Fluency in English
