Currently using VB but moving to C#. NET

someone who as either VB or Java as long as they are out of financial and have an interest in C#

C++ is okay as well

Additional info:  Not too heavy on the Quant side more accounting exp GL Systems VB or .Net Application development, Mapping also trading and risk management systems application development library report writing processing of trades.

Manager of Financial Reporting NYC

Due to rapid growth of the business and recent IPO, we have a new position within the corporate finance organization., this position will manage the monthly consolidation of US and International subsidiaries under IFRS and will be responsible for reporting monthly reporting. This role will also be the company-wide lead person in dealing with all technical accounting issues. This will entail the interpretation and implementation of existing accounting standards to ongoing company transactions, as well as, monitoring and reporting on new developments surrounding international accounting standards.

More detailed responsibilities of this position include:

·         Preparation and analysis of external reports

·         Worldwide corporate consolidation based on IFRS requirements

·         Technical accounting oversight, including development of policies and interpretations of new IFRS pronouncements

·         Internal reporting to senior management, including variances analysis and performance assessment

·         Participation in annual audit and quarterly earnings release

Candidates must have the following: 

·         8-12 years Accounting experience including public company financial reporting

·         Accounting degree required

·         CPA or Chartered Accountant

·         International Accounting experience

·         Ability to effectively supervise the day-to-day activities of direct reports

·         Experience with financial software applications, knowledge of Sun Systems a plus

·         Ability to take on and complete additional projects

·         Highly organized, detail oriented with excellent follow through skills and ability to prioritize

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Career minded individual with a team player approach

Senior C++/Java Developers with Algorithmic Trading background these positions pay up to 150 base with TC 250 and up NYC

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

 

We are currently looking for a Sr. level C++/Java Developer to join our team and assume a leadership role in our algorithmic trading group.

Requirements:

·          Experience in designing and implementing high market data distribution systems.

·          Prior experience in US equities trading environment is essential.  Prior experience in US options/futures trading environment a plus.  Prior experience in UK/Asia markets a plus. 

·          Strong technical programming skills are a key requirement.  Experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming is essential.  Knowledge of design patterns is also key.  Hands on expertise in server side programming in C++ on a Win32 platform is required. Solid knowledge of Templates and STL is also required. Java (server side programming) is a plus.  In depth knowledge of multithreading, exceptions, Win32 internals etc.

·          Needs to have strong expertise in inter process communication (TCP/IP) and event driven programming

·          Market Data Distribution infrastructure

·          Algorithmic Trading

·          Automated Market Making

·          Smart Order Routing

·          Trade Analysis for Equities, Options and Futures in US Domestic and International Markets
