Description:   
Create a compelling user experience for a retailer portal and consumer engagement platform. You will work closely with Agile team members to understand business requirements, vet design ideas internally and with customers, develop user interfaces and the back-end server calls that support them, and test your creations with an off-shore team and customers.
 
Responsibilities
•  Deliver simple, engaging, and empowering user experiences that fulfill stated business requirements, project goals, and product vision.
•  Work with various teams within the organization to gain an understanding of project goals and user needs, producing prototypes to guide project development.
•  Utilize front-end development skills to extend prototypes into workable software.
•  Collaborate with product owners, customers, software engineers, and testers to enable the design process, and help to solve design problems as they arise
•  Participate in concept development for new product features.
•  Contribute toward the establishment and documentation of User Experience/User Interface patterns while designing new web product offerings.
 
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
•  Degree in computer science, information systems, design or another similar discipline is required.
•  An advanced degree in one of these fields is a plus.
 
Knowledge & Experience
•  Solid programming experience with HTML 5, CSS, Ajax, and Javascript.
•  Strong understanding of mobile platforms, particularly iOS and Android.
•  Experience with jQuery and ext js is a huge plus.
•  Strong online portfolio demonstrating design and development savvy.
•  Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries.
•  Be in sync with recent design standards and trends.
•  Formal education in interaction design a huge plus.
•  Ability to determine the feasibility of projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
•  Ability to anticipate problems proactively and take appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact.
•  Prior mobile development experience, particularly as it applies to gaming, is a plus.
•  Prior experience with HTML 5 Canvas and CSS3 Animation is a plus
•  Exposure to iterative and incremental agile software development methodology.
•  Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or CS6 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks) is preferred.

Description:   
Responsible for overseeing the development activities of application development teams and development support teams.  This includes design, development and maintenance, content management, project and resource management and personnel recruitment, retention and management.  Progressive technology platform with need to migrate from legacy applications.  Active Agile/Scrum environment with sprints.  Will require seasoned IT management experience and leadership/ownership of reasonably large & complex applications.  ERP, supply chain, logistics background ideal but not required.  Stable, growing company who are team oriented and collaborative.  Signing bonus may be negotiated to assist with relocation.
 
 
 
Primary Duties:
 
•  Work together with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Project Managers to plan and execute projects
 
•  Ensure teams have appropriate product and technical direction as well as resources to deliver product functionality effectively
 
•  Work closely with product owners and business analysts for understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements
 
•  Collaborate with Product Owners in defining Product vision
 
•  Demonstrate leadership abilities to our internal/external customers with the deployment of software, upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules
 
•  Evolve new and existing software systems applications and architecture in application areas of responsibility
 
•  Coordinate and approve release and sprint planning, daily scrum meetings
 
•  Work with Business Analysts and developers to resolve both technical and nontechnical challenges
 
•  Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate and lead team members to their optimum performance and career development
 
•  Participate in Technology leadership and planning initiatives to ensure we continue to provide the company with innovative technology
 
 
 
Position Requirements:
 
•  5+ years experience in managing development teams and projects
 
•  7+ years experience working through design, development, release cycle and delivering software
 
•  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience
 
•  Solid foundation and understanding of Agile Development methodology
 
•  Ability to manage multiple projects and/or priorities
 
•  Experience managing in Java programming and J2EE software development
 
•  Excellent written and verbal communications skills
