Business Development Manager: Can Be Based Anywhere in the US to $130000 + bonus (50%)


A Business Development Manager primarily works with existing customers in, primarily, a pre-sales capacity to promote using  additional  infrastructure services.  They need to know the infrastructure space, managed services, outsourcing, NOCs, data center operations. Travel is expected to be at 50% (a day, day and a half at a time). Can be based anywhere in the US. They need to have consulting/vendor experience.

 

They will manage $3 - $5 million in new business

 

Can Be Based Anywhere in the US

 

 

* Own IT IS revenue quota for new IT IS business within industry vertical, including both closed new business contracts and in year billed revenue from these new contracts

- Define, develop and execute an IT IS Business Development plan for each vertical that is assigned.

 

* Proactively educate, generate interest and demand in IT IS services with industry vertical teams and their customers

-Activate industry vertical(CP/AM) and sales teams(AE) on selling IT IS services

-Continually evaluate IT IS selling efforts within Vertical and put plans in place to improve as needed

-Become a virtual member of the Vertical team

 

* Own sales process within IT IS for new IT IS opportunities; Identify, qualify, propose, and close

- Provide IT IS business development support for CP’s/AM’s/AE’s in their selling efforts, working with VSL’s and Solution Architects as appropriate

- Focus on selling to senior level CXX client contacts on differentiation/value in the infrastructure services space 

 

* Manage sales pipeline of new IT IS opportunities with vertical to ensure best use of resources to maximize revenue generation

 

* Manage virtual solution/proposal team on customer bids

- Responsible for bid strategy, executive communications, executive summary in proposal and pricing to maximize opportunity to win business and profitability  

 

* Primary focus on new IT IS business from existing customer base

            - With Vertical, identify top 10 target new customers for IT IS

 

* Secondary focus on new customers for IT IS services

- Work with sales teams(AE) to sell IT IS to their “Top 25” targets  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Business Development Manager Skills and Experience

 

 

* 15+ years experienced senior sales manager/executive in Information Technology Infrastructure Outsourcing, managed services, professional/consulting services to Enterprise Customers

 

* Experience with a global delivery model

 

* Proven track record of ability to operate at the CXX level

 

*Strong technical acumen with ability to work with technical delivery teams

 

* Excellent communications and negotiations skills

 

* Strong leadership skills with ability to operate in a virtual team structure

 

* Motivated, self starter who does not require significant over site

 

* Comfortable with high levels of travel(50%)

 

* Specific commercial industry expertise is desirable
