Building analytical team to support and maximize the effectiveness of growing Customer Contact Management operation. Position performs detailed product and profitability analysis, contact analysis, channel analysis and campaign tracking that will answer the questions:
How did existing contact executions work? Where did we meet expectation and where did we fall short and how can we improve for the next time?
How should future contact be executed: who do we contact, at what time, with what frequency, through which channel(s), etc.
What is the most effective contact strategy for acquiring new customers?
Directly works with business lines to provide financial, profitability, account and product analysis. Provide recommendations that impact customer targets for retention, activation, and acquisition.

Data extraction, manipulation and analysis from various sources (Data Warehouse,etc.). Utilization of various computer based tools for analysis (SAS, SQL, ACCESS, EXCEL etc.).

Regularly present results to Business Line and senior management based on customer usage and behavior. Includes conversion analysis, detailed financial analysis and household portfolio analysis

Directs and provides revenue generating product, customer segment, and distribution channel analysis.
Works directly to ensure that profitability calculations and financial data is accurate during monthly data loads.

Requires expert level knowledge in application of computer based analytical tools (SAS, SQL, ACCESS, EXCEL etc.), and financial analysis (NPV, etc.). Also requires a general understanding of principles of financial institution credit analysis. Excellent problem solving, analytical, research and quantitative analysis skills needed. Must be able to think critically and communicate effectively.

REQUIREMENTS: This position will function as a liaison between Corporate Information Security (CIS), Information Technology (IT), and business areas to translate database security issues and potential business impact. In addition this position will facilitate technology management understanding of the operational/financial exposures they impose on the organization. This position will provide consulting and guidance in relation to database environments. Specific responsibilities include:1. Manage the Database Security Standards Quality Management Process. Partner with the Enterprise Database Security Access Administrators, Enterprise Data Management, and DBA Managers to ensure conformance to the enterprise database security standards. 2. Assist customers with understanding information security solutions as they relate to various database environments. 3. Review government and industry regulations, database industry practices, and database vendor software releases for possible impact to the corporation's database environment. 4. Acts as a project leader on enterprise level projects. 5. Assist in the development or revision of database security standards, recommendations, best practices and guidelines. 6. Perform all other duties as assigned. CIS Analyst, Sr. is a position for those with some advance experience in distributed database platforms and/or database security. This position evaluates risks, rewards and impacts of decisions at the enterprise level, balanced with the ability to take action in a decisive and timely manner. Candidates should be able to independently lead small-to-medium scale projects, and work with minimal supervision from management.

REQUIREMENTS: Required (minimum): BS in Computer Science or related degree. 3 - 5 years equivalent experience in security technologies. Advanced knowledge of one or more RDBMS platforms. Must possess the ability to assess, architect, design, and recommend database security solutions and best practices as it relates to distributed RDBMS platforms. Expert knowledge of database security and best practices. Able to articulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner to customers and management with varying levels of security knowledge. Ability to manage projects using appropriate tools and communications methods. Also able to participate in multiple concurrent projects. Collaborate with other consultants, engineers, project managers, and business unit personnel to deliver on time, cost effective solutions that meet customer needs and support business requirements. Proven relationship management skills and the ability to leverage working relationships with business units, vendors, partnering organizations, IT engineers, and management. Excellent partnership and collaboration skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as a member of a high performing team. Preferred: Security certification (CISSP, CISM, or CISA). Solid understanding of Operations, IT, and financial services businesses. Possess a general understanding of government regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, California SB 1386, and GLBA.

Position Description

The person will be responsible for developing new Informatica mappings and workflows to pre-process client equity trade data,  and producing a file suitable for loading into the core TCA application

Applications are:

TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) is an ITG-developed tool for post-trade transaction cost analysis for the stock market.

 

Responsibilities of the Initial Assignment (What will the person be doing?)

·          Re-implement existing shell and SQL data processing scripts in Informatica

DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:



*         Responsible for administration of all Solaris/Linux and or apache Unix . These include: installation, backups, patch maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring results of cron jobs, scripting/automation of recurring tasks, day*to- day system resource management and monitoring.

Work with Senior Developers, Network Administrator, Windows/NT administrators and Help Desk analysts to maintain day-to-day operations and resolve production issues.
Work under direction from IT Operations Manager in the determination of deadlines & priorities for system maintenance tasks and Unix related infrastructure projects.
Work with Microsoft System Engineers on *VERITAS Netbackup* or *Bakbone* configuration and administration.
Perform start of the day system verification procedures to validate system state and availability, confirm successful execution of nightly batch processes and cron jobs, document instances of system and batch process failures in the ticketing system and resolve them expeditiously.
Implement system alerts to notify IT Management of system unavailability.
Work with the DBA to support Oracle Databases and optimize performance.
Perform day-to-day system administration tasks such as monitoring of httpd & https processes, management of server access & error logs, monitoring disk space usage and archival, backup status, tape archive management, and other periodic maintenance tasks. Generate reports and maintain documentation per Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines.
Perform MAC server related support functions (Mac Server OS X, X-Serve)  APLUS Provide expertise in areas of Unix Administration and backup assistance.
Play pro-active user-support role in all deployed systems. 
Perform monthly and quarterly SOX reviews including documenting results of such reviews.
Perform periodic maintenance tasks, generate reports and maintain documentation related to Unix operations as required per SOX guidelines.

*         This person must be extremely hands-on as he/she will be the *go to* person for problems.

*         BS in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience required, MS a plus.

*         Solaris System Admin certification preferred.  SUN Network Admin a plus

     Strong Perl and UNIX shell scripting expertise & related utilities.

*         Hands on experience with Solaris 2.6 through 10 required.


*         Experience with Oracle installations on Solaris

*         Experience with Enterprise Back-up systems and Enterprise Storage solutions e.g. SAN, NAS required.

*         Familiarity with iplanet/SUN ONE/SUN Java web servers, Apache web servers, resin application server, LDAP and directory services preferred.

*         Basic networking experience is a requirement.  Extensive experience with Cisco Switches & Routers and firewall knowledge is a plus.

Job Description: Risk Management Associate

Primary Purpose of Job:

Develop and monitor risk management programs by identifying exposure and analytically evaluate exposure to determine and manage expected loss. Assist in the creation of our global risk management strategy including placement of insurance, negotiation and interpretation of insurance policies, self insurance analysis, claim management, actuarial reserve analysis and accounting impact, captive management, broker relations, managing day to day issues and inquiries relating to risk management and insurance programs world wide.


Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manage the renewal and placement of the property insurance program; including the evaluation of exposure, negotiation with broker and insurer, preparation of specialized underwriting information where required, loss modeling, and maintenance of property values and business interruption values.
2. Manage the allocation of property premium across Stanley businesses and the related accounting impact.
3. Assist Risk Manager with property claims management, including coverage applicability, notification to insurer, loss site visits, and any other activities that facilitates payment of claim.
4. Assist Risk Manager with property loss control program, including an internal evaluation of property conservation and business continuity as well as an evaluation of the insurer's property conservation recommendations. Work with Company management on the implementation of property loss control initiatives
5. Manage the renewal and placement of insurance for our independent tool distributors; including negotiation with broker and insurer, captive analysis, and communication to distributor group.
6. As necessary assist in the management of claims filed as part of the independent distributor insurance program.
7. Manage the renewal and placement of insurance for the Company's race car sponsorship program.
8. Provide quantitative and analytical support to model risk management programs across all lines of risk, and to establish appropriate accounting reserves for those programs whereby the Company has retained a certain level of risk.
9. Manage the Company's wholly owned captive including, analysis of premium collected and losses paid, reserve analysis, investment analysis, financial statement preparation and review, Corporate accounting impact, tax benefit, and new strategies to expand the use of the Captive.
10. Prepare a quarterly cost of risk analysis and present to Company management.

Relationships:

Risk Manager: While this position will own the management of certain insurance programs, this position will need to seek counsel and advice from the Risk Manager as we continue to enhance and implement world wide risk management strategies. A sound partnership between the Risk Management Associate and Risk Manager will be critical to the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate risk mitigation, risk transfer, and funding plans that will avoid loss or respond to loss in a manner that protects the Company.

Assistant General Counsel / Claims Manager: As necessary assist counsel and the claims management team to effectively settle claims.

Corporate Accounting: Work to ensure the accuracy of general ledger risk reserves
across all lines of risk retained.

Insurance Brokers: Work effectively with insurance brokers to establish renewal strategy, place insurance, secure policies, and manage loss prevention and claims.
