The Bearings and Seals Part Family in Mechanical Systems are seeking engineers to conduct design and analysis of mechanical carbon seals with applications in aviation engines. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Design/analyze carbon seals for military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engines.
- Coordinate with CIPTs and suppliers to solve technical issues involving development programs as well as production and field issues.
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects as required. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and eager to take initiatives. Ability to work with other team members and engineering groups to bring tasks to closure.

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced engineering degree a plus. 5 years experience desirable, though less experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.

Familiarity with the following would be desirable: Finite-element analysis (preferably coupled with the Reynold's lubrication equation); Thermal management (cooling) of seal components; sealing tribo-pair Kinematics (motion); Materials selection in the sealing system (carbon-graphite, hard-coatings, metallics, and ceramics); and nature of Wear in mechanical seals. The ideal candidate will also have some experience in correlating experimental data with analytical predictions, as well as have some experience with failure analysis using troubleshooting methods (such as with Fault-tree analysis). Excellent computer skills a must. Strong communication skills and teaming ability needed.

The opportunity is available to work on challenging engineering assignments for military and commercial engines including the new single aisle engine. Some travel may be required. Candidate must have US citizenship or status that allows contact with intellectual property.

  • Serve as the main, day-to-day tax support for the Company

TITLE:                Revenue Management & Planning Analyst

 

REPORTS TO:   Vice President of Revenue Management & Planning

 

LOCATION:        Purchase, NY

 

Revenue Management & Planning Analyst

 

The Revenue Management and Planning Analyst will provide key revenue, pricing and network related analysis, and will report directly to the Vice President of Revenue Management & Planning.  The Analyst will identify revenue opportunities through analysis of internal/external revenue and marketing data and will make recommendations based on those findings. 

Requirements:

-         Quantitative analysis experience

-         Bachelor's degree

-         Previous airline experience and/or interest in the industry

-         Proficiency with database tools such as Excel is a must

-        

-         Knowledge of Access, revenue management systems, and GDS operation is a plus

-         Strong analytical skills

-         Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

-         Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

-         Outside the box thinking

 

Responsibilities

-         Monitor and implement competitive fare analysis

-         Analyze competitive actions

-       

-         Perform analysis on system, market, flight, and channel level

-         Develop and maintain departmental analysis and reporting

-         Evaluate existing and future markets

-         Coordinate efforts between Revenue Management and other departments

-         Participate in high level planning meetings related to Revenue Management, Network Development, Sales & Distribution.

Analyst, Revenue Accounting

 

Report To

Director, Revenue Accounting

 

Overview

The Revenue Accounting Analyst will perform the accounting responsibilities for maintaining the appropriate controls and tasks for ensuring the revenue (income) is processed.  The Analyst will assist and perform the reconciliation of receivable accounts, perform collections, process guest refunds and charges, process travel agent commission payments, perform audits, and record GL entries.  The Analyst will interact on a routine basis with the airline's third party revenue accounting processor, Guest Services Center associates, Sales team, Airport operations team and IT.  Finally, the Analyst will work closely with the Director of Revenue Accounting and other members of the Accounting team.

 

Responsibilities

·        Perform daily audit of passenger manifest lists

·        Perform daily posting and month-end reconciliation of receivable accounts

·        Perform individual client reconciliation and analysis on a need-by basis

·        Perform daily audit of airline's selling location sales reports

·        Process guest refund requests

·        Audit and process travel agent commission payments

·        Research and bring to conclusion credit card queries and charge-backs

·        Record GL entries

·        Generate revenue and sales source data

·        Perform collections

·        Troubleshoot challenges

·        Assist in implementation of revenue accounting system opportunities and developments

·        Work with internal and external stakeholders on projects

 

Requirements

·        Accounting experience, including account reconciliation and GL entry recording

·        Previous airline or travel industry experience and knowledge of GDS systems a plus.

·        Proficiency with Excel is a must.

·        Strong customer service skills

·        Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

·        Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

·        Be available to work over-time and some weekends as demands dictate
