BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE - RISK SYSTEMS STAMFORD, CT

 

 Our client located near STAMFORD, CT  is seeking a Business Intelligence Architect to work with an existing OLAP (SSAS 2005) system with multiple measure groups representing various functions of the company.  Systems are used to report front-office risk, P&L and credit exposures to Management. 

Responsibilities:

·        Maximize system performance by using knowledge of SSAS/SSRS internals including MDX and OLAP configuration

·        Generate reports using information stored in SSAS cubes

·        Build complex MDX and C#.Net components to fulfill complicated reporting requirements

·        Extend existing OLAP solution for financial risk data to include Trade Financing using SSAS 2005 and above

·        Generate and customize risk and P&L reports/pivots for Management

·        Improve reporting capability by using pivot tables on top of custom MDX queries

·        Work with business users to gather and implement requirements

·        Tune SQL and date storage options to increase performance of the database

·        Special projects and additional responsibilities/administrative functions as assigned

Requirements:
·        5+ years experience developing SSAS cubes including MDX and partitioning
·        7+ years of extensive experience developing robust applications
·        5+ years experience of data modeling with demonstrated expertise in data warehousing applications
·        Experience using MS-SQL is preferred

·        3+ years experience working with an SSRS 2005 and above

·        7+ years experience of C#.Net application development experience

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·        Understanding of risk/exposure calculations is preferred

·        Good understanding of risk and financial terminology

·        Experienced working with business users, understanding cryptically expressed requirements and in establishing a good working relationship with end users
