Our client, an innovative leader in the wireless information industry is currently seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join their team
 
The Sr. Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers to develop software for new wireless technologies, design, implement, test, and demonstrate new software features in small iterations as well as research and provide analysis on existing wireless technology such as Wi-Fi and LTE.
 
This role will also contribute to project schedules, development of software processes and procedures, and evaluation of software design tools.

Responsible for the front end and back end development for all client marketing websites. They act as a liaison between the marketing department and IT team and are responsible for updating, development and website maintenance. This position will be responsible for:
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for all front and back end development of the Drupal based marketing websites
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of custom PHP Drupal modules
• Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing errors in code
•Responsible for all marketing website development including development of micro-sites, state sites, and additional sites as needed
•Responsible for sustaining functionality of the website across all major browsers and devices
•Responsible for optimizing website load time and speed through sustainable best practices
•Responsible for maintaining and updating custom PHP forms on marketing websites
•Responsible for working with operations team and web hosting company to maintain successful development and deployment environments
•Responsible for quality assurance testing of marketing websites
•Responsible for keeping current on web development improvements and changes
•Responsible for managing contract developers when needed for large projects
•Be a team player that is able to communicate and manage relationships effectively with marketing and IT staff
 
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
•Projects completed on deadline
•Able to update websites accurately without browser compatibility issues
•Updates properly tested to ensure uptime on all elements of the websites
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
•2-5 years experience coding in PHP
•Able to write PHP from scratch, not just edit existing code
•Able to handcode HTML and CSS
•Experience with Javascript and JQuery
•Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
•Solid understanding of responsive CSS layouts
•Drupal experience a big plus
•Able to work in an active team environment
•Capable of planning and prioritizing own workload with deadlines as this is a one man show developing for multiple websites
Required Experience
Bachelor degree in related field preferred but not required

Description:   
Business Continuity Planner for the New York City office of a leading bank.  This role is responsible for the development of advance arrangements and procedures to ensure the organization can recover its most critical functions and customer services within stated Recovery Time Objectives, incurring the minimum amount of loss, possible.
 
This role will be responsible for the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning program, which  includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and testing (validation) of the overall disaster recovery plan for each critical functional area of the organization, as well as for the corporation as a whole. The Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning service must address three major elements of the recovery process: (1) the Emergency Response organization and the procedures for reacting to and coordinating recovery efforts; (2) the Recovery Support procedures for restoring key organization resources; and (3) the Business Resumption procedures for the continuation of critical business processes.
 
 
Responsibilities include:
- Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment
- Business Continuity Planning and Testing
- Technical Recovery Planning and Testing
- Emergency Crisis Management
- Policy/Standards Development and Maintenance
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning Training and Awareness
 
Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years experience working with Information System recovery planning and systems support.
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Business Continuity and technical certifications strongly preferred.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and software technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analysis.
* Ability to obtain a working knowledge of all areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the Bank’s key functional processes and critical customer services.
* Working knowledge of Internet, networking (LAN and WAN), data and voice telecommunications, and distributed computing in order to assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in these areas.
* Excellent written skills, and proven policy & procedures development capability.
* Exceptional interpersonal  skills to interface with managers and staff at all levels within the organization and to effectively manager vendor relationships related to record storage facilities and disaster recovery services.
* Strong project management skills.
* Ability to meet deliverables on time and on budget.
* Familiarity with office productivity tools, databases, and project management tools.
* Experience managing consultants and vendors.
* Ability to design, resource, conduct, status, and complete projects independently, with minimal supervision.
-- Technical expertise – the ability to understand and communicate the technical aspects of computer security. 
-- Communication skills – the ability to verbally communicate technology-related issues and security-related issues to every level of the organization (end-users, IT staff, managers, vendors, contractors, etc.). Written communication skills are also important for writing security-related policies, standards and awareness documents.
-- Presentation skills – the ability to present Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning awareness programs and training to all levels of the organization.
