5+ yrs direct exp. in fixed income specifically working with market data feeds, pricing systems and benchmark applications.
Lead project teams to determine project requirements, develop project plans, analyze, design and implement new technology and/or enhancements to existing systems.
This individual will help create strategic partnerships in an effort to provide technological innovations, tools and support to the Analytics and Risk Management business unit, specifically as it relates to the market data, pricing, and benchmark functions. This role will provide in-depth analysis of user needs and contribute toward application design efforts for proprietary applications. Identification of complex business requirements, evaluation of alternative solutions and translation of requirements into specifications suitable for the development or maintenance of business specific systems will be a primary focus of this role. The idea l candidate will coordinate development teams on large and/or complex projects. He or she will translate end user computing requirements for use by the Application Delivery Team within the IT department, develop and implements test plans, communicate with the team, customers and vendors when changes occur, and act as a mentor to junior staff members. This role will also assist business and IT management to determine overall priorities.
§ 5+ years direct experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically experience working with market data feeds, pricing systems, and benchmark applications in the Fixed Income industry.
§ 5+ years of software development experience with knowledge of systems development concepts including underlying technologies, database and application design and system architecture
§ 3+ years experience in the design, testing of financial or fixed income market data or vendor applications
§ 2+ years of project and staff management experience skills with demonstrated ability to both lead and participate in cross-organizational teams; ability to initiate, track, and follow through on multiple ongoing projects
§ Experience working with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, FTID, Lehman, etc. is preferred
§ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently and interact with all levels of internal and external contacts
§ Demonstrated ability to manage a project through it’s full life cycle
§ Demonstrated ability to manage a team
§ Demonstrated ability to interface with clients and manage/develop client relationships
§ Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned project responsibilities with limited supervision
§ Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
§ Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
§ Ability to convey both technical and non-technical material in a clear and concise manner
