IT Auditor - (US-NY-Purchase)
Compensation: $100K - $105K / Year

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Plan, execute and document audits for various operations of the organization, including assessing risks and determining scope of assigned audits
• Assess business, operating and control risks and make recommendations for improvements of current and proposed systems and operations
• Conduct and document reviews of financial, technology and operational areas that are complex in nature
• Evaluate compliance with legal, regulatory and operational policies and procedures
• Work directly with business owners and auditors to facilitate the preparation of controls documentation
• Consult with management in determining action items required for resolution of control issues, working directly with senior management as necessary
• Manage administration for assigned projects including budget, scheduling and correspondence with clients
• Provide significant input into the annual and periodic risk assessments of business processes, functions, departments, etc.
• Ensure integration with the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programs. Conduct quality assurance reviews and testing of financial and operational areas; investigate and document issues for senior management
• Lead special projects and investigations, as necessary
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• 5-8 years experience with advanced knowledge of internal / external auditing
• SEC and GAAP reporting and accounting requirements knowledge
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and/or relevant functional or industry experience
• Experience auditing or working in an IT environment
• Sound understanding of the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Audit of the Institute of Internal Auditors
• Ability to train and develop junior staff
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ACL or similar audit tools
• Innovative and a self starter, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet established deadlines
Education/Experience/Professional Certification:
• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance, economics or information technology preferred.
Advanced education desirable.
• CPA, CIA, CISA or other professional certifications or pursuit thereof desirable
