Production Support Mgr 120-140k base plus bonus NYC
| 1. Purpose of the Job |
| The position is responsible for the hands-on management and reporting of all production systems specifically ensuring the health and uptime of all applications Other responsibilities include coordinating resources, allocation of priorities, tracking support metrics, management of progress and reporting to senior management. Responsible for first and second line support for all Production applications and technologies. Day-to-day support of all application issues including problem tracking, coordination, resolution, escalation and reporting Performing enhancements, maintenance and administration of all applications and hands-on management of development team Participate in quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, user training, documentation and communications Developing processes and procedures for support issues, releases, testing, change management and communications Ensure that all production applications support tasks are in accordance with the agreed business priorities. |
| 2. Key responsibilities |
| The key responsibilities of the Production Systems Mgr are to: § Project manage multiple production systems § Progress monitoring of production projects against expected delivery dates § Monitoring of project expenditure against approved budget § Communication to the business areas from the IT support teams § Escalation point for any support issue § Agreement of priorities with business and IT sponsors § Allocation of staff to project work § Production of senior management reporting § Ensure that morale within the dept remains high § Develop support standards and workflows § Develop processes and procedures and ensure that they are adhered to by all staff |
| 3. Qualifications: |

| At least 5 years experience in production support Strong technical knowledge on windows and UNIX based systems Knowledgeable about troubleshooting, diagnosing technical problems and following through to their resolution Good coordination skills with internal IT groups and external vendors to resolve application issues A good understanding of the asset management business is a plus Good oral and written communication skills Must be able to work well in a team environment and willing to work long hours |
