Lead the converged communications support team supporting the enterprise to evolve and support worldwide data and voice network.
Lead the planning of incremental improvements, implementation, and maintenance of the enterprise voice network. Primarily focusing on support of converged technologies and applications with an emphasis on VoIP, Enterprise IPCC, and MeetingPlace Audio, Web, and video conferencing system.
Support Unity Voice Messaging Systems and transmission hardware which interfaces with LEC/IXC hardware as well as intra campus transmission circuits and termination hardware. Provide Project Management for site upgrades, local and remote system installations and new Program start-ups.
Experience interfacing with LEC/IXC account reps and technical liaisons.
Develop strategic telephony and collaboration plans that optimize business collaboration across the Harris enterprise and with suppliers and customers. Design and oversee implementation of enterprise data networks (WAN, MAN, LAN, WLAN, Internet).
Resolve critical data network problems. Monitor and analyze applications’ data and voice network traffic to characterize performance and predict impacts due to network changes.
Provide communications technology consulting expertise to Harris Product Development Engineers and Program Pursuits.
Mentor junior/associate network engineers.

Qualifications:
BS engineering or equivalent required. 15+ years experience in the Telecommunications and Data network field with experience working with PBX’s, Voice Messaging Systems and Transmission Systems, voice gateways, data/voice routers, and switches. Experience implementing VoIP technologies is required.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
CCNP required
Strong communications skills with the ability to do presentations in front of executive management.

Preferred Additional Skills:
CCIE highly desired
Program Management certification is desired.
Must be proficient in system engineering practices.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to build, lead, and support a highly motivated and experienced team in a very demanding political and technical environment.

Must have outstanding written and verbal presentation skills. Must be customer focused.
Extensive knowledge with MeetingPlace Audio, Web, and video conferencing systems. Unity Voice Messaging Systems, IPCC Call Centers.
Extensive knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, Frame Relay, 802.X, VRRP, HSRP and layer 3 IP routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and RIP required. Extensive knowledge of layer 2 bridging protocols such as MPLS, STP and RSTP also required. Familiarity with QoS protocols such as Diffserv, RTP, SIP and RSVP. Familiarity with authentication protocols such as PEAP, WPA, TACACS+, RADIUS and IKE. Familiarity with encryption protocols such as IPSEC and SSL. Understanding of network equipment manufacturers’ implementations of the above protocols.
Must be proficient in managing a world wide telecommunications network which consist of PBX’s, Voice Messaging Systems, DDM1000/2000 and D4 mux’s, DACS, ISDN PRI/BRI circuits, fiber and copper MDF/IDF wiring architectures and all associated test equipment required to maintain voice networks.
Knowledge of emergency 911 and E911 system interfaces.

Candidates must be residents of the State of NY.

The Business Analyst will work within the Group to support the initial phases of the COMPANY’S initiative. Responsibilities will include supporting the following work efforts: Work closely with Business managers to determine best strategic & tactical approaches to data entry. Analysis of debt issuances as necessary in order to facilitate upload of bond, tax and state law details into the appropriate management system. Work with users to identify and resolve issues with current deployment of reports. Assist business managers with User Acceptance testing efforts by documenting and executing test cases. Interface with high level managers and fixed income staff at numerous financial institutions.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science

Four (4) of experience using mainframe, mini- or micro-computer technology in computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing

At least 18 months of the above experience must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the areas of computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, database administration, or planning of data processing or in the supervision of staff performing these duties



Essential Skills

Experience at a financial institution with fixed income instruments (preferably municipal bonds, public finance).

Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel, MS Access, Word, etc.) and be able to author and package design deliverables.

Experience in writing and executing ad-hoc reports from a 3rd party tool (e.g., Crystal, Cognos). Strong understanding of various financial concepts (e.g., financial calculations, industry entities and their roles in a bond underwriting, simple and complex financial instruments).

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate meeting discussions, broker issue resolutions, and articulate decision points.

Strong oral and written communication skills as necessary for the authoring of key deliverables and interaction with senior management.
