Knowledge of network attack and penetration methods and defenses . 
Knowledge of Web Proxy security.

Sound knowledge of security techniques and latest protocols and defenses against new viruses and other attacks. 
Basic ability to program scripts and batch files . 
Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and MS Project.

Working knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)organized and ability to multi task. 
Ability to understand, interpret, and apply general and specific administrative and departmental policies and procedures as well as applicable federal & state laws and regulations. 
Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities. 
Appropriate analytical, oral and written communication skills. 
Strong team player.

Candidate is required to have 4- years of hands-on experience with: 
Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Object Oriented Programming, 
J2EE/Java/JSP/Servlet/GWT/AJAX Application Development, 
experienced with Eclipse IDE development environment. 
Must have experience and an understanding of how to implement applications using Model-View-Presenter (MVP) with GWT, Model View and Controller (MVC) utilizing the Struts framework, and must have a working knowledge of the Hibernate technology for persistence management. 
UML (Use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams) along with having working knowledge of both Waterfall and AGILE software development lifecycle approaches. 
2-3 years minimum experience as a technical lead that required the need to mentor and coach others in the area of UML, OOP, system development, and Java/J2EE-related technologies. 

Ideal candidate will possess the Sun Certified Developer certification and one of the advanced Sun certifications. (Sun Certified Web Component Developer, Sun Certified Business Component Developer, Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services, or Sun Certified Enterprise Architect)
