Transition Program Directors who can lead large scale IT Infrastructure services transition projects. The person may handle one or more than one program at a time depending on the size and stage of the transition. These are typically multi stream, multi geography projects. Various streams of transition could be Data center build and migration, application and data move / migration, services transition, Workplace systems build and transition etc. The services are typically transferred from client / current vendor to a global delivery model with globally distributed data centers and service delivery centers. 
The job responsibilities include: 

• Building a transition plan for large Infrastructure outsourcing engagements (100 Mn +) 
• Supporting bid pursuit team in articulating the transition plan to the prospective clients. 
• Lead the overall Transition Program Delivery with defined goals on time, budget and quality. 
• Run the transition program governance meetings with the clients. 
• Report the transition program updates to internal stake holders on a scheduled basis. 
• Manage transition projects workforce who may be drawn from multiple competency groups as well as support HR integration of transferred employees. 
• Support commercial estimation and budgeting for the transition project 

Candidate profile: 

• Proven track record of executing (at east 3) transition projects within outsourcing engagements of the scale of $100 Mn TCV. 
• Broad experience on IT Infrastructure technologies – Data Center, End User Computing, Network& Security etc – and in-depth industry knowledge of at least one space. 
• Excellent client facing skills. 
• Preferably certified in any industry standard project management methodology. 
• Experience with an SI preferred but experience in end user organizations too will be considered if it meets the requirements. 
Preferred industry verticals experience – Banking, Healthcare & Pharma, Retail. But this is not a mandatory criterion.

• Collaborate with all engaged internal CTS organizations to create a solution that aligns and balances the technical client needs and our internal corporate margins whilst still satisfying the financial target of the prospect 
• As part of the Large Deal pursuits provide multi-stream solution crafting, defense and articulation of the target end state operations model: 
• Lead and anchor workshops / discussions with clients, partners and COE’s to arrive at solutions addressing the client business needs and which provide for material environment transformation. 
• Assist team with defining the transition and transformation roadmaps aligned with the end-state architecture to enable end to end business management 
• Work with team Business Analysts to deliver the architected solution write-up 
Skills Required 

• Strong Knowledge in Storage products: NetApps, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP, IBM, and EMC 
• Excellent knowledge of Cloud, SAN, NAS, RAID, SCSI, ISCSI, Fiber channel, Clustering, Data encryption Storage technologies from multiple vendors. 
• Strong knowledge of Backup and recovery management solutions 
• Strong knowledge of storage virtualization, for example; EMC VPLEX or IBM San Volume controller (SVC) 
• Knowledge of applicable data retention practices and laws 
• Strong VMWare and HyperV knowledge 
• Solid skills in windows, LINUX, UNIX Operating systems 
• Good knowledge around Storage Transformation/transitions/migration methodologies. 
• Possesses wide base of experience in many disciplines of information technology with emphasis on: 
• Operating Systems (Unix, Windows, Linux) 
• Data Center Designs and Consolidations 
• Virtualization (Server, Storage, Desktop) 
• Performance Management and Capacity Planning 
• All MS application like: Word, Excel, PPT, and Visio 
• Deep understanding of Storage Capabilities like; thin provisioning, de-duplication, encryption, DR. 


Qualifications 

• MBA or MS is a plus, but at minimum a BA in Computer Science, Management of information systems, or equivalent credentials. 
• ITIL 3 foundation certifications 
• SNIA or other Storage Architecture Certifications. 
• TOGAF other EA framework understanding. 
• Approx. 12 - 15 years experience in Information Technology (Infrastructure Services) 
• Hands-on experience leading large multiyear deal of at least $50M

• Technical lead to design, Migrate, deploy Server based virtualization solutions and applications such as Cisco UCS, VMWare, AIX VIO, etc. 
• Extensive experience with LINUX (RHEL, SUSE), Windows, UNIX (AIX, SUN, CISCO, HP, DELL) 
• Knowledge of database technologies; Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Teradata 
• Working knowledge of high availability and business continuity from a technology and business process perspective, Understanding and defining RPO/RTO expectations 
• Understanding of security procedures and practices. 
• Understanding of LAN/WAN design concepts 
• Solid Knowledge in Storage and SAN produ/design: NetApps, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP, IBM, EMC, CISCO, and Brocade 
• Understanding of Cloud, SAN, NAS, RAID, SCSI, ISCSI, Fiber channel, Clustering, Data encryption Storage technologies from multiple vendors. 
• knowledge of Backup and recovery management solutions 
• knowledge of traditional storage architecture as well as storage virtualization 
• Knowledge of applicable data retention practices and laws 
• Good knowledge around Server Transformation/transitions/migration methodologies. 
• Possesses wide base of experience in many disciplines of information technology 
• Data Center Designs and Consolidations 
• Good knowledge around understanding the “Big Picture” around designing a complete infrastructure solution 
• Performance Management and Capacity Planning 
• All MS application like: Word, Excel, PPT, and Visio 

Qualifications 

• MBA or MS is a plus, but at minimum a BA in Computer Science, Management of information systems, or equivalent credentials. 
• ITIL 3 foundation certifications 
• OS Certification UNIX, Windows, LINUX 
• TOGAF other EA framework Certification or understanding. 
• Approx. 12 - 15 years experience in Information Technology (Infrastructure Services) 
• Hands-on experience leading large multiyear deal of at least $50M 
• Demonstrated capability of achieving IT efficiencies by reducing IT spend using innovative strategies 
• Superior communication skills with the ability to present technical topics to both “C-Level” clients as well as non-technical audiences and build partnerships 
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous personal improvement of business and technical skills, including the ability to learn and apply new technologies and techniques. 
• Strong Service attitude and commitment to quality 
• Ability to work with team member from around the globe 
• Travel up to 75%
