Description:   

Manage systems and support activities in the China offices between the business, on premise IT Service Provider and WHQ using both English and appropriate native languages (Cantonese and Mandarin)

 

Plan, direct, prioritize and execute project activities of Asian Infrastructure team

 

Create and implement strategic initiatives to improve Asian IT Infrastructure

 

Primary escalation support point for Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong offices

 

Gather and analyze data to ensure current standards and processes are being followed and are meeting service level agreements. Individual would work to continuously improve corporate standards and processes to meet specific Chinese regional situations while working with Corporate IT.

 

Organize and communicate corporate IT standards to our China office IT service provider and China business staff, enforces standard and process compliance

 

Understand corporate standards and processes regarding infrastructure maintenance and deployment, and assist local IT service provider with executing the processes

 

Provide first level support

 

Ability to travel to China 3-4 times per year.

 

Typical hours 3pm – Midnight, Sunday – Thursday

 

Experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows 7, AD and Group Policy)

 

Experience with Apple iOS and Mac hardware

 

3-5 years managing an IT Infrastructure group

 

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience with Desktop Support. Familiarity with network hardware and software. Experience with Microsoft SCCM technology preferred

 

Experience with JAMF Casper preferred

 

Experience with networks LAN/WAN preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Fluent in languages native to Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong Mandarin and Cantonese as well as English

 

Ability to communicate effectively with all job levels, both written and verbal

 

Bachelor's degree preferred ​

Needs experience designing back-end Java based-architectures to support millions of daily transactions.

 

Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy Java based applications.

- Provide architectural input to project-related decisions.

- Function as a team lead, working closely with the engineering lead to coordinator activities for a small team.

- Define systems that include both hardware and software components.

- Work independently with minimum supervision and a geographically dispersed team.

- Use industry best practices to deliver high quality code. Requirements:

- 5 years of software development with 5 years of Java coding experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
