Developing thorough test plans, such as Acceptance, Regression and Performance testing that:
1) Ensure the effectiveness of custom and packaged technology solutions
2) Validate each solution’s ability to meet requirements
3) Guide business users in appropriate verification of functionalities
4) Coordinate and track execution of appropriate testing plans

Work with development teams to identify key areas of risks in new solutions
Work with other development teams to formulate training plans for new technologies as needed
Proficiency working in an Agile environment
Communicating testing status on a regular basis to project team members
Help define the future of automated testing tools for the back/front end
Proficiency developing, maintaining and enhancing comprehensive test cases
Capable of building a complex and flexible testing environment for all applications
Recommending and developing efficient test methodologies and implementing bug tracking system.
Provide consistent delivery of status reports to VP, Application Development and other technology leads
Managing team of Quality Assurance Analysts (to be hired…)
Competencies

At least 8+ years experience in technical Quality Assurance, focused on customized web-based solutions as well as large-packaged solutions E.g. ERP / CRM solutions
At least 5+ years experience managing, mentoring & coaching direct reports
Experience working with and testing complex systems, supporting large number of internal and external users and stakeholders.
Experience working with automated testing system such as Rational Robot, LoadRunner & WinRunner
Extensive experience in Java and J2EE application environment, specifically web-based applications
· Strong experience working in Linux, Windows, Apache, Tomcat and WebSphere

Strong experience with SQL queries
Experience in Agile development methodologies, preferably XP
Experience with Perl or other scripting languages, a plus
· Familiar with a open source solutions & development framework, eg: Strong Struts, Spring, and Webflow 1/2 and object/relationship modeling (Torque, Hibernate, IBATIS, etc.)

Familiar with Object Orient design principles
Familiar with ORM framework with PostGres, DB2, MS SQL or other Relational Database backend a strong plus.

3 months plus. Expect it to go much longer

Create artifacts that depicts business process and technical architecture for a proprietary mission critical application. Conduct due diligence of business processes, data flows, application architecture, physical network and infrastructure and problem triage. This will include:

Application style characterization – uptime needs; peak, valley user & processing times, eg I/O characteristics {how much data processed? How fast does it need to be processed? Concurrent user loads?}
Application support manual – job scheduling, log maintenance, monitoring / instrumentation
Application error catalogue – what are all of the known issues, bugs, defects with the “in scope” application
Triage procedures – how does one go about diagnosing bugs, defects, issues with the “in scope” application. Should also include what logs, system processes are available to assist in diagnosis
Resolution procedures – how does one resolve each known issue / bug / defect with “in scope” application
Application access inventory – what ids and passwords does the application need / use for db access? Necessary OS security permissions? Superuser ids and passwords? Any systemic processes such as web services? What rights do these services need / have (ids the services run under?)
Context Diagram, eg what systems “touch” the
UML Static Structure & Deployment Diagrams
Data flows (if applicable)
Data model (ERD)
Infrastructure diagram – what servers, ports, and network segments does the application live on? How many environments are there – topologically characterized?

The Portal Developer will be responsible for developing portal solutions for the Extranet application.

8+ years experience in supporting J2EE production portal deployments
5+ years working experience with WebSphere Application Server (v 6); expert level administration skills and experience in a highly available, clustered and multi-tiered environmental configuration including IHS HTTP Server, Tivoli Directory Server, WebSphere Portal, Lotus Connections, and Lotus Quickr
3+ years working experience with WebSphere Portal
Highly skilled in shell, WebSpehere, and WebSphere Portal automation (wsadmin, jython, wpconfig, wpscript) to facilitate day-to-day tasks, debugging, and deployments
Working knowledge and experience with defining plans, tuning, and troubleshooting WebSphere Portal performance
·Experience supporting IHS server software, including configuration file manipulation

Experience operating in a production support capacity including issue triage, troubleshooting and resolution which also includes opening, managing PMRs and collecting requisite information.
Apply fixes and feature packs for IBM WebSphere, Portal, IHS, Tivoli Directory Server
Strong understanding and experience supporting the production environment listed above on Linux (RedHat)
Solid understanding of DB2 and other DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostGreSQL)
Strong knowledge of J2EE technology.
Experience or understanding of ESB architecture and components e.g. IBM MQ, Oracle ESB
Strong understanding of network administration concepts – subnets, private/public IP space, network load balancing, and TCP/IP protocols – and core IT security concepts
Solid understanding of XML
Define and document ongoing administration and maintenance tasks


Optional but a plus:
· WebSphere Portal 6.0 certified
· WebSphere Application Server certified
· Exposure to other middleware and/or external security manager products (Oracle Identity Manager, Tivoli Directory Server)
· Portlet or Java programming experience

Conduct/support technical due diligence activities associated with merger and new product acquisition activities.
Develop and implement a technical strategy for identifying, evaluating and prioritizing new immune related biologic product acquisition opportunities in the fields of autoimmunity and oncology
Conduct technical/scientific/data-driven analyses and summarize salient scientific information related to new product acquisitions.
Collaborate with CSO, VP-Product Development groups and Product Managers to drive critical technical decisions and perform ”decision tree” analysis as necessary
Provide technical consultation and support for corporate projects/initiatives and provide technical consultation as requested for non-project/initiatives(e.g.IP, review of publications, etc.
Remain updated on technology developments; provide real time intelligence on new immune related biologic candidate interest to the company.

Special Skills Required
Industrial R&D experience in a mid to large pharma environment
Experienced focused on biologics
Prior product development experience in one of the following: autoimmunity, oncology, immune modulation,
Experienced and accomplished biological scientist(autoimmunity, oncology, immunology)
Technical research, data compilation and data analysis
Prior experience in M&A and in-licensing activities
Industrial product development experience.

Educational Requirements
PhD or MD required in biopharmaceutical sciences(immunology, autoimmune diseases, oncology) MBA is a plus but not a requirement
