Regional Sales Manager for Motion Control and HMI
 
UNCAPPED COMMISSIONS (1st year realistic earnings in the $115K to $125K range, but the commission rates INCREASE as sales increase)
 
Successful candidate MUST have experience selling Motion Control technology to companies who make manufacturing equipment, which is then resold to companies that manufacture things with them.
 
Description
Fortune 100 giant with tens of thousands of employees and a presence in nearly every country in the world with a big presence in Industrial Automation.
 
Due to the growth in this business, there is an immediate need to identify and attract a Regional Sales professional to personally lead sales efforts in Ohio and Michigan.
 
This person will be responsible for sales of motion control, servo components, and HMI products to OEMs in Ohio. This includes the entire motion control and human machine interface product lines.
 
Sales will be direct to the OEMs, and this person will also provide leadership and support to the distribution network, inside sales, and applications engineering.
 
This position and can be based anywhere in Ohio or near Detroit.
 
Requirements
Engineering Degree
Track record of success selling motion control and/or HMI products to OEM clients.
Experience selling for companies such as ABB, Eaton, Siemens, Honeywell, Rockwell, Yaskawa etc... is a big advantage

Responsibilities

- Working proactively with traders and developers to design products to help meet their monitoring and trading goals
- Creating tools to visualize complex data in real time
- Developing robust C++ back-end servers and associated monitoring and deployment technologies
- Researching and implementing a GUI testing framework
 
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
- A strong background in object-oriented programming, preferably in C++
- A passion for human computer interaction (HCI) and user experience (UX) design

Responsibilities
- Technical design and development of software enhancements and integrations for websites, working collaboratively in an agile process with product, design, and project management team members
 
- Collaborate with Community, Search, and Web Content Management (WCM) platform teams to ensure integrations and dependencies are thoroughly planned and communicated
 
- As part of task and sprint planning, provide input towards feasibility, technical solution design, priority, estimation, high level work breakdown, documentation, risks, and dependencies

- Provide input into the prioritization of nonuser facing enhancements & standards that seek to reduce costs, improve maintainability, improve reliability, and improve time to market
 
- Collaboration with Release Manager to implement continuous delivery tools and processes within the development team
 
Required Skills:
 
- 5+ years of experience in web development, web application development, and content management systems
 
- 1+ years' experience with sites & services hosted on AWS (Amazon Web Services) or similar PaaS and Linux/Unix (Apache, Felix, memcached, perl/python/shell scripting, etc)
 
- Strong experience with Java and Adobe CQ 5.x CMS (Adobe Experience Manager) and experience with Content Distribution Networks (CDNs) such as Akamai
 
- Strong experience with database technologies and data modeling related to storing structured and unstructured content (MySQL, Oracle, JSR 170, Apache Jackrabbit)
 
- Strong experience working on large scale site builds / redesigns in an agile working environment and working within Service Oriented Architectures (SOA: REST, etc)
 
- Solid understanding of full site architecture concerns (HTTP / Cookies, caching, Web Performance, scalability, security, third party integration, etc)
 
- Strong knowledge of web application lifecycle, MVC and other design patterns and solid experience with version control (SVN, Mercurial) and experience with JIRA or other ticketing software
 
- Understanding of browser compatibility and web/usability/accessibility standards
 
- Preferred: Experience with JavaScript - (including DOM, object-oriented JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, events, callbacks) and well demonstrated HTML / CSS (including HTML5 / CSS3)
 
- Preferred: Experience integrating frontend code with Java, PHP, JSP, or related languages

•         Oversees and administers the report change management process before moving reports from development to production.
•         Maintains documentation related to reports changes or enhancements.
•         Assists in the creation and maintenance of report development standards and best practices.
•         Supports and maintains existing department tools and macros, identifies innovative opportunities with changing technology and supports the transition to new system environments.
•         Troubleshoots reported issues, conducts analysis to identify root cause, recommends fixes and implements changes or works with IT and the development team to resolve issues.
•         Educates peers on department reporting tools and available resources.
•         May conduct demo, training, including how to use reporting tools and develop programming.
•         Analyzes current business processes and implements improvements
