Description:    Responsible for all aspects of a high volume, extremely high availability and low latency platform. As leader of a group of 5 network and system engineers, you will work closely with other groups to ensure that the infrastructure performs at scale to support existing and new product initiatives. You must be hands on knowledge of the latest tools to effectively manage the environment (you will also need to stay current on the latest technologies and always be seeking ways to improve the operational efficiency and reduce costs). 

Skills 
o Experience building, managing and maintaining a very high volume infrastructure (200K QPS and over 10 billion HTTP calls per day). 
o Experience managing a team of systems and network engineers. 
o Experience negotiating and managing vendor relationships. 
o Experience managing infrastructure in a high-growth dynamic start-up settings 
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
o Excellent Project Management Skills 

Qualifications 
o Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering. 
o 5+ years of experience with Internet scale Linux/Unix environments. 
o 2+ years of managing a team. 
o Knowledge of System management tools such as chef or puppet. 
o Experience with Java applications running on Tomcat 
o Knowledge of Nginx and other core Internet technologies. 
o Experience supporting large scale Hadoop and HBase clusters 
o Experience with open source System monitoring tools. 
o Knowledge of Disaster planning and Business Continuity Planning 
o Knowledge of best practices in security monitoring and management. 
o Experience managing MySQL and other relational database environments. 
o Knowledge of effectively managing BGP Anycast

This role is involved with the development of annual budgets and determinations of product cost standards for a major facility in Kansas City and for U.S. Manufacturing. Provide analytical support guiding functional leaders in the month to month operation of their areas. 

• Develop annual product cost rollups for product cost standards, account for accuracy, timeliness, and error resolution 
• Account for developing product cost standards. Develop monthly and quarterly forecasts for site 
• Work with Functional Leaders to develop timely monthly and quarterly forecasts 
• Identify and communicate unplanned events that impact forecasted results 
• Account for timeliness of forecast development 

Analyze and communicate actual performance against budget and forecast
