PAID RELOCATION 
 
Responsible for managing software projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Facilitates agile-based software development teams consisting of developers, quality assurance analysts and user experience designers. Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile methodology and tools.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains software development project documentation that meets business requirements including project plans, agendas, action item lists and deliverables.
Determines resource requirements, project scope and schedule.
Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and success criteria.
Manages project scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
Converts project requests into technical requirements documentation (business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, etc.).
Provides project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings and written, electronic and graphic reports.
Identifies and removes impediments or obstacles that prevent the team from reaching goals.
Serves as subject matter expert for Agile methodology across the development team and organization.
Organizes and facilitates project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other SCRUM-related meetings.
Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress.
Ensures the development teams are practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and progress visibility.
Champions continuous improvements in processes and development techniques applied by the development team.
Serves as a liaison between product owners, developers, management and other stakeholders.
Partners, builds and maintains close working relationship with all stakeholders and partners.
Occasional travel for training, meetings or trade shows may be required.
 
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or related field required, Master's Degree preferred.
5+ years of project management experience, 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
Experience with different development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
Expert level knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile development processes.
Strong understanding of iterative software development, backlog refinement, burndown/burnup metrics, velocity, and task definition.
SCRUM certification required, PMP certification is a plus.
Understanding of how to run an Agile team within a Waterfall culture.
Knowledge of healthcare industry, HIPAA and FDA guidelines is a plus.
Experience with the development and support of web and mobile applications.
Experience with Ruby, Objective-C, AWS and continuous integration is a plus.
Knowledge of HP QC, Agile Manager, ALM is a plus.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management and internal/external customers.
Ability to work effectively with little supervision and strong attention to detail in a team environment.
Requires the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Individual must be highly motivated and self-directed.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
Initiative and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
•    Lead Data Governance activities to advance the knowledge of business terms and uses through the entire enterprise and establish business ownership of data.  Responsible for the enterprise data model, including the physical and logical models, business semantic layer, and establish best practice development standards.
•    Advise business partners on technology alternatives and technology implications of business directions.  Consult and advise business and technology subject-matter experts, ultimately translating business requirements into technology solution approaches.  Responsible for Business Intelligence capabilities and developing and implementing strategies to support business requirements.
•    Own the data environment including ETL/ELT strategy, ETL/ELT code, data quality, metadata management, data stewardship, and strategy.  Responsible for setting direction on reporting and analytic tools and providing expert guidance to our business partners.
•    Responsible for the operations of the data environment, including quality of data, triaging and resolving critical issues, communication with the organization concerning the operational readiness of the data warehouse components, capacity planning, and tuning.  Promote the use of a shared infrastructure and application/services roadmap to reduce costs and improve information flows.  Ensure all functions are properly documented, with a primary owner and trained secondary owner
•    Encourage employee growth and realization of potential through mentoring, coaching, encouraging and recognizing employee accomplishments.  Provide employees with career path counseling and assignment opportunities to realize career objectives. Responsible for administering corporate human resource policies on an equitable basis.  Assists in development and achievement of employee goals.
 
Qualifications:
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred. 
10+ years related Data Services or equivalent experience
Demonstrated ability to design and maintain the data integration platform and framework in support of the Corporate Information Life Cycle Management framework
•    5+ years of experience in the architect, design and support Big Data analytic systems like Hadoop or Netezza and/or traditional data warehousing solutions and architecture
•    Successful experience working as a lead/architect on systems with complex data flow, high transaction rates and processing and with large transactional and reporting databases.
•    Extensive knowledge of ROLAP, OLAP, and/or BI tools experience like Cognos, SAS, R, Business Objects, Tableau, Microstrategy, and/or Microsoft Excel and implementing BI strategies.
•    Strong leadership skills with business and technical groups having demonstrated increased levels of responsibility and delivery.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills especially in conveying highly technical information to executives and business leaders in easy to understand formats.
•    Strong organizational skills
