As a writer in retirement communications, the candidate will play a key role in the development of creative concepts and content for print, multimedia and Web communications materials. Target audiences will include financial advisers and individual investors. This position requires excellent project management skills and the ability to work closely with various business associates on strategic planning and research. On a day-to-day basis, the writer will collaborate with a creative team that will include a designer, a copy editor and a production specialist.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional writing experience
• Experience/exposure writing for the financial services industry (knowledge of IRAs and/or the retirement income market is a PLUS)
• B.A. degree (preferably in business or marketing)
• Project management experience (our writers “own” each of their projects, seeing them through from start to completion)
• Well-organized, able to juggle multiple projects at once and adjust to changes in workflow
• Proven relationship-building skills

Position Requirements
2 to 4 years prior experience with Colleague including:

Technical skills: Query builder, programming, Invision, computed columns, data warehousing and modeling, testing, patching

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or at least six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 to 4 years prior experience including:
Technical skills: Query builder, programming, Invision, computed columns, data warehousing and modeling, testing, patching
Functional skills: Ability to work in groups, analysis of end user functional and business needs, translate user needs into technical requirements and specifications
