Wealth Management Report (WMR) is the consolidation of brokerage and individual brokerage account management information. The project goal is to create single view reports, consolidating multiple accounts and assets for the purpose of reporting data and portfolio performance accurately to our clients.  The candidate must be able to manage multiple project initiatives aimed at achieving this goal.

The candidate must be a leader in Quality Assurance, providing clear testing scope and objectives for each initiative.   The candidate must be able to meet challenging deadlines while implementing “best practices” throughout the development life cycle. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Create test plans for assigned projects and applications.
• Develop test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and development standards for assigned projects/applications.
• Build SQL queries to validate data
• Maintain existing test plans and test cases based on code changes and enhancements to assigned applications
• Validate complex performance calculations
• Perform Regression Test planning and execution
• Track issues and work with project managers and developers to resolve.
• Create and send issue reports to project team and management during test cycles.
• Contribute in the development  of knowledge transfer documentation

Required Skills:

• Strong communication and follow up skills (verbal/written).
• Ability to decipher requirements and  test scope when documentation is unavailable
• Work independently.  Attention to details.
• Hard working, self motivated, and assertive
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to create screen designs/mock-ups, and report definitions
• Skills in Microsoft Office, ability to create documentation and presentations, develop spreadsheets
• Extensive SQL background
• Visio and MS Project Skills
• SDLC

Business Experience & Education:

• BA/BS Required
• 1-3 years QA/IT experience in the financial industry
• 1-3 years QA experience with portfolio accounting applications.
• QA/QC certification a plus (from PMI, QAI, IIST or other organization)

• Client Revenue/Sales/Trader Portal is the global source for all trade, compensation and financial information for both Institutional Sales and Private Client Services. • Enterprise Account Management (EAM) Account, Client, and Instruction Management (EAM) is the central repository for entering account, client, relationship, and instruction information

The person filling this role will be as a Mid-Range developer for the Enterprise Security Master (ESM) application.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and development of Enterprise Security Master (ESM) new components to accommodate credit and equity derivative product coverage. The project includes collecting market data vendor feeds and messaging into one central repository and making it highly available to 200+ applications. The new components will need to be designed as core Java/Perl software modules that will need to be integrated into overall ESM architecture.
• Design and development of Enterprise Security Master (ESM) new components to enable its integration with front office trading and back office settlement systems. The project includes building a state-of-the-art real-time data processing engines to process the data from multiple settlement systems into the central repository that serves as a common interface to 200+ systems. The engines will be developed using Java/Unix/Sybase technologies.
• Support existing applications, real-time processes and batch cycles; troubleshoot outages. The system is 24x7 and a global platform for a number of major mission- critical business functions
• Act as a liaison with Business analysts, developer teams and infrastructure groups
• Participate in all aspects of development cycle, design, development implementation, testing, production rollouts, support, enhancements.

Critical Technical Skills Include:

• Proficient or familiar with  T/SQL, Sybase (high performance SQL, stored procedures, debugging of Sybase performance issues)
• Proficient or familiar with  Linux/UNIX skills (advanced purl’s scripting, understanding of Linux/UNIX internals, TCP/IP )

The project includes building a message based distribution platform to enable bi-directional communication between ESM and 200+ systems  The components will be developed using J2EE / TIB / JMS / Unix / Sybase technologies.
• Support existing applications, real-time processes and batch cycles; troubleshoot outages. The system is 24x7 and a global platform for a number of major mission- critical business functions
• Act as a liaison with Business analysts, developer teams and infrastructure groups
• Participate in all aspects of development cycle, design, development implementation, testing, production rollouts, support, enhancements.

Critical Technical Skills Include:

• Proficient or familiar with Web and GUI : SWT,SWING JSP/Servlets/AJAX
• Proficient or familiar with  Core Java (Collections, MT, JDBC, Exceptions)
• Good SQL (Ability to write complex SQL code)
• Good Data Structures
• Good EJBs

Some Linux/UNIX skills (basic scripting)
