Description:   

DB2 Data Base Administrator for Linux/Unix/Windows.   iSeries DB2 (I/OS) in addition to Linux/Unix/Windows is a plus. No interest in z/OS experience.

 

•         Good understanding of the DB2 database, related utilities and tools.

•         A good understanding of the underlying operating system.

•         A good knowledge of the physical database design.

•         Ability to perform both DB2 and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.

•         Knowledge of ALL DB2 backup and recovery scenarios.

•         A good knowledge of DB2 security management.

•         A good knowledge of how DB2 acquires and manages resources.

•         Good knowledge DB2 data integrity.

•         Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems.

•         Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.

•         A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.

•         A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.

•         Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.

 

Education Required:

•       Bachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a technical or business field; or equivalent work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as Journalism, English or Communications.

• 12+ years of professional corporate or agency public relations experience in the healthcare field required – preferably Pharma - with specific and measurable experience in PR, media relations, issues management and working with strategic partners

• Proven and measurable experience working with the media

• Demonstrated success working on a leadership team

• Demonstrated success managing teams both internally and externally, e.g. contractors and agencies.

• Demonstrated success in developing, managing and delivering communication strategies and plans in a large, complex, global organization.

• Superior interpersonal communication, teamwork, collaboration, supervisory and client service skills, with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.

• Ability to manage complex and sensitive communications while maintaining strict confidentiality.

• Strong professional judgment.

• Proven writing capabilities in a variety of formats, including press releases and press kit materials, issues management materials, key messages / QA, executive speeches, and other collateral materials, video scripts and PowerPoint presentations.

• Experience working globally/cross-culturally.

• Fluency in English plus German or French a plus.
